Secondly, GIMP is better for everything. Unless you're making something with pixels. Then it's usually easier with Paint or something.

Gimp's good, but I normally use Photoshop, with Paint for the really basic things, which it somehow does better than Photoshop... 
But if you don't have Photoshop, Gimp all the way. Better than Paint for those things.
