Awesome map, it is amusing.
I can't wait to play this.
Maybe boats is not that impossible, it would be very cool and add "life" to the map.

When will you post updated pictures?bobfinkl wrote:
A bit of a sidenote, the pictures are quite old, the map has been filled with many more props since I took those, they still effectively convey the map and it's atmosphere. Also the map was originally going to be with a different color scheme changed from beige to white and green to red, however I was unable to reskin it in a time effective manner so I didn't bother, if someone has or would reskin the buildings that would be very useful.

Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
Exactly, but I will upload pictures next time there is a major update (most likely when I get the retextured naboo buildings) the current ones give an excellent representation of the map (almost exactly as you see it in those pictures is what you would see ingame as of now).Nova Hawk wrote:I'm sure when he has the time, he will. Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
Yes, you got the last spot open. For all beta testers, expect the beta within a week or so I will send it out whenever I get the textures for the buildings I have finished everything else I can think of.clonecommandomerc wrote:is there any beta spots still open?

Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
Quick update: I finished all that needed to be finished but i was out of time to send out a beta before I left on vacation. I will be releasing a beta the moment I return from vacation as I currently don't have access to my computer with all my files.
Edit: Also I forgot to mention but the moment I return I will also be uploading pictures of the map as it is currently so the rest of the people who aren't beta testing can see the progress (although I admit the general look of the map hasn't really changed).

Before you release the beta I want to reskin the buildings, just give me a date and time and I will have them done by then.

Wow, I really am looking forward to this map! I like the name (ToP ref?) and the scenery. I personally would prefer a CTF mode to new sides.

Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
Thanks. and the name, I have no idea what ToP is but the name was using the name Abregado-Rae (an actual planet you can look it up on wookiepedia, it was in the game Empire at War), and then Venezia which is (of course) Venice in Italian. I definitely agree on the CTF, I think I'll probably do that.CressAlbane wrote:Wow, I really am looking forward to this map! I like the name (ToP ref?) and the scenery. Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
To make a long story short, it's a game with a city called Venezia. (Also where CressAlbane comes from.) No wonder I thought the two locales look so similar!
Not to be repetitive, but:
This map looks beautiful!

Wow, just saw the map, it looks a lot like Venice, actually, I was expecting to see gondolas. Nice map! Can't wait for the texture changes and the release of the map.

Re: Abregado-Rae: Venezia
As it turns out the person who had said they would make the textures hadn't, I hadn't expected them to but now do not be expecting new textures. I have recently been battling a virus which is why I haven't released the map yet I will very soon since I can finally open bf2 without several strange issues.yuke5 wrote:Wow, just saw the map, it looks a lot like Venice, actually, I was expecting to see gondolas. Glad to hear that you busted that virus!
