On a more serious note, you should make a Team I-was-dragged-into-this-movie-by-my-girlfriend for those of us to who the above statement holds true.

I think all of us would choose that.RogueKnight wrote:On a more serious note, you should make a Team I-was-dragged-into-this-movie-by-my-girlfriend for those of us to who the above statement holds true.

Re: New Moon [Negative Poll Options Added]
I give the Twilight series one, and only one compliment: #3 comes out within two days of M. Night's abominable "The Last Airbender". With luck it will lure some of the fangirls away from TLA, and the more people who don't see that movie, the better. Then I can get back to working on my totally-not-made-up-right-now story "Toph Bei Fong: Vampire Hunter".

Why don't you add that into the poll for it applies to me as well.RogueKnight wrote:On a more serious note, you should make a Team I-was-dragged-into-this-movie-by-my-girlfriend for those of us to who the above statement holds true.

Re: Twilight 2: Twi Harder
Now, seeing as this has been happening as of late, I would just like to remind everyone to be nice and accepting towards other peoples' opinions and tastes.
I am well aware that nearly everyone on this site is either indifferent or downright spiteful towards the Twilight series, myself included, but that still gives no right to create a, quite literal, negative wall of posts, as I have seen today.
If something like this is bothering you, then please, just ignore it. While things such as natural disasters and death cannot be gotten rid of if ignored, however, if you ignore whatever is annoying you on an internet forum, it will definitely go away or at least stay out of sight.
Now, Edward_Cullen, while I understand that you happen to love the Twilight series, with all of these people constantly saying they hate it at every turn, do you really think that it's a good idea to continue to post about it in almost 95% of your posts?
If there is one thing I've learned, it is that unless there's an underlying interest, which I'm pretty sure does not exist in this forum, you can not change anyone's opinion on the internet. To save you from negative posts thrown in your direction, I suggest finding the few people on this board that enjoy your beloved series and talking about it with them over this, and only this thread, or by downloading an instant messaging system such as xfire (http://www.xfire.com) and talking about it with them there.

I'm having trouble believing any of this "Team" stuff is relevant to the given topic, though I might've missed something since another topic apparently got merged with this one.
Anyways, Edward, I'm gonna venture to guess that the only who who voted yes in this poll was you?

Re: Twilight 2: Twi Harder
Somewhat off-topic, but on the subject of twi hards....
Friend of mine showed me this the other day..........
"Last week, I went to see New Moon with my roomie. As the lights dimmed for the movie to start, two girls in the very front turned in their seats and screamed "TEAM EDWARD!". My roomie, hating when people scream replied, "TEAM I WILL SHANK YOU IF YOU SCREAM". Needless to say, the girls said nothing the rest of the film,... and I found a new team that's actually worth joining."
From MLIA.
@Edward: you realise by asking everyone to vote your going to get a whole lot of knee-jerk its rubbish reactions from people who haven't seen it/wouldn't otherwise vote?

Re: Twilight 2: Twi Harder
Depends on what kind of vampire you're talking about, Lord. Edward and the cullens are more like the vampires of the future!
@Skyhammer I do realize that I'm just about the only guy on Gametoast that likes Twilight. But I'm willing to stand for something I believe in!
@Raptor, yes I was the only one who voted as a "Twi-Hard" because I am the only "Twi-Hard" on this site. Also, I had made another topic called "Team Edward or Team Jacob?" with a poll. It got merged into my "New Moon" topic and renamed. So that's why people are going on about it. :plokoon:

Re: Twilight 2: Twi Harder
Okay, I'm going to give my thoughts on this (given I probably know the most about Twilight except for Edward_Cullen himself).
New Moon was okay. It was better than the first one, but it also had some much stupider parts. For example, the part where Jacob is just walking around his house without a shirt on. Now Edward, don't jump on me - I KNOW it's because werewolve's don't where shirts. But still.....
I'm not on Team Edward or Team Jacob - I'm on Team Mike Newton.

Re: Twilight 2: Twi Harder
I was dragged along to see Twilight (the original) and I personally did not mind the film though I do not classify it as a need-see, the story and action was ok. The second film did not get such reviews and I didn't choose to go and see it. I don't tend to get over-obsessed with films - Twilight is a film I saw and remember as something somebody else loved

I'll keep from paraphrasing the first few paragraphs of that too much, but, to try an quell this "O NOES DIS VAMPRIES MOAR REEL LOLOLOL" thing that's goin' on, modern vampires, ESPECIALLY Twilight, are nothing like what vampires "actually" are. I believe the [terrible] game Vampire Rain's depiction of vampires is far more accurate than most things that feature them nowadays. Granted, since vampires don't actually exist, you can depict them however the eff you want to, but one modern vampire is just as bad or "real" as any other. Some are just less... masculine...
