Announcing: Battle over Mustafar!

No not yet the landscape part is really hard to work on and as soon as I show screens I will put really good lighting effects in game. Oh, and protector pulch, I'm not making it above the actual mustafar map, I'm making it above another large volcanic area of Mustafar where a factory is thats been long destroyed.

So then its not actually space, then its just fly above land am i correct?

I think orbital bombardement would fit this map perfectly, wouldn't it ?

Orbital bombardement, this gives me an idea... What about a assault mode in which you have to destroy the cap (for the defenders) or the factory(for the attackers) ?

It would be good if it's an air battle above Mustafar. But I hope you don't make things too far apart (capitol ships and ground).

Actually, is it a space map with the ground textures and objects added in or is it a ground map with capitol ships added in?

Ok, those are the links to the pics. Now remember, it will include a fortress somewhere, but its a ruined fortress, this will be for GCW unless you want an Imperial ship as the Clones.... :oops:

Its a ground map with Ships in the sky, also it will be basically an air/land map.

Yes its orbital bombardment, with defending Capital ship backing up the keepers of the fortress.

Ok, all the questions asked will be posted in this post. I will probably need to have alot of units on the battlefield in order to have a really big battle, so I'll probably set it up to the highest count. The whole point of this map was to accomplish something thats never been done, and for it to be a big battle. :twisted:

looking good, but i think it looks too much like geonosis. make the textures darker perhaps?



P.S. that picture with dooku abt to get shot, u just had to circle it didnt u. lol :P

Looks fine this far.
Just wondering: Don't you think the cap's are too close to each other ? When they're, it will be difficult to dive down to the planets surface without crashing.

PS: I think Darth_Maul referd to the remaining pics in your album, didn't you ?

yeah, it looks like geonosis, make the ground darker and add lava everywhere

yeah, and the ground is to bright, looks alot like sand, instead of dark black rocks and stuff form mustafar

Mhh, the name of your map is...not perfect. I think
"Battle over Mustafar"
is somewhat "reserved" for the Space Battle above Mustafar in the Campaign Mode.
"Battle for Mustafar" or "Mustafar:Orbital Landing" would be better.

my suggestion, rename it: obital battle: mygeeto

My other suggestion (lava): go to the modding forum, there is a sub topic (i think) that shows how to mod lava :D

No, Death Star I was more planet-to-planet fight (although the DS is a not a Planet,but an artificial moon).

CTG makes a ground map with caps above, like Staiger00's Geonosis XL-Map.
