You can model in any 3D software you choose, just search google for 3d software, but you'll need to export the final product through XSI with the XSI2MSH exporter .

Its not a separate program, its a addon for XSI foundations, which costs some 600$.

Most SWBF2 modelers use the free version of XSI, Modtools, then send their work to someone with foundations to export it for them.

Or you can use the free 30 days trial version of XSI foundation like I did :D .

But I wouldn't do that, until you've gotten good, with XSI.
You don't want to waist preacious exportable time, in learning the basics.

not to butt in, but since i was going to make a similar topic about this anyway, i thought i'd just post in here. My free XSI tool has decided it will no longer work for me. According to jedi_pilot, i can't ever use that specific tool

from other topic:

"The same thing happened to me some time ago, then I looked at the licence agreement and it says that you can only install each version of XSI once on the same computer system . So if you still want to use XSI, I suggest you look for a different version."

i've looked and looked, but i can't find any XSI versions that don't require some sort of license or another. does anyone know where i can get a different, free version? any help would be great
