IE 7
Ok i use both IE7 and Firefox. I like both. But I'm leaning more towards Firefox because IE7 won't stop bugging me about add-ons. I don't have any and it's complaining about them being disable. I check and none are disabled. Also I try to download Flash player 4 IE7 because i can't see LA's main site or any other Flash site and it won't download. THe pop-up box never shows! I copy the address into Firefox and Adobe says it's install properly! WHy is this happening? And i know what an add-on is. Thanks!

RE: IE 7
IE 7 is just an attempt by windows to match firefox's awesomeness.
I'm sticking with firefox.

RE: IE 7
Actually, the add-ons may be corrupt. I had a prob with ie6 with flash. You have to uninstall it then re-install it. The instruction for doing this with flash is on adobe's website (it's a download if I remember). As far as any others, tell me what isn't working and I'll post the instructions.

Firefox is more secure, and you can customize its look too. It's also supposed to be faster, hence its name...For you IE fans out there, Try Firefox for 3 days. Feel the power. For you Firefox fans: Nice choice.

Re: RE: IE 7
Actually I did try firefox and was quite indifferent. It handles php differently, and you can easily tell that on my site. flash components won't display right unless you add extra code just for firefox, streaming wmv files don't work out of the box and the extention that was supposed to work didn't, downloaded it as a xml file instread of streamng it, making the stream less secure, yahoo toolbar doesn't work, actually I don't know of that any that do, even the scrolling function is spead up faster than what is set in php. al this stuff, with the exception of the toolbars, works even in netscape with no add-ons and extra programming. So it is more work to get it to work.crazytieguy wrote:Firefox is more secure, and you can customize its look too. As for faster, the reason IE7 is slow is cause of the ant-phishing filter that constantly checks anysite against a site from MS that has a list of them. If the site is slow, IE7 is slow. Turn it off and tbh I don't see any speed difference. I even compared them side-by-side with my laptops. If half of milliseconds bothers you, then you must spend a lot of money on the latest and greatest.
But Firefox does have cooler extentons that can load into it so it really is just a preference. I use firefox on my wife's mac and I stick with IE for my main laptop.

It seems like i'm sort of the "Intel" of IE7 and Firefox. I have and use both IE7 and Firefox, depending on what i'm doing. I find some things useful in IE7 that Firefox can't do, and vice versa.DarthZ13 wrote:Well over at the Windows Movie Maker forums they have been having quite a bit of trouble with it. I'm with you Adreniline. I don't think I'll ever switch back to IE.
I also have Windows Movie Maker and I use it alot. Yet I have no problems.

Ah ha! Victory is mine! I noticed that Google toolbar was installed. So i installed nad everything runs fine now! Thanks!
EDIT: scratch that. When i exit out of IE7 and then open again google toolbar is unistalled. I don't know why. Also when google toolbar is installed everything is back to normal.
EDIT2: Is this what you wanted ShadowHawk?

EDIT 3: I'm seriously confused. Google toolbar is back and everything is working. Only when i open IE7 through the desktop shortcut. Sometimes i open it through the start menu. So as of now my IE7 problem is solved.
