Well it works but there is this side effect:
And a Glamour Shot!

That side effect is, unfortunately, unavoidable unless you want to model a completely new lightsaber.

Looks OK to me. Could a pauldron be added on the Jedi Sniper?

I have a (possible) solution for the Sith Trooper:
In the LUA, you copy the KOR.lvl file from any Conversion Pack map with KotOR Hero assault into the map's folder (once it's been munged and put into the ADDON folder) and put this:
into the LUA.
And in the LUA, you call the character with:

I have a (possible) solution for the Sith Trooper:
In the LUA, put this:
Code: Select all
ReadDataFile("SIDE\\KOR.lvl"
"kor_inf_sithtrooper")
to call the character in.
Then, once the map's been munged and is in the ADDON folder, copy the KOR.lvl file from any Conversion Pack from KotOR and put it into the map's ADDON folder in the appropriate directory.
Haven't tried this, of course - in theory, it should work.

Problem is, that unit isn't balanced ie; I need a rifleman, rocketeer, engineer and sniper so that's why I need to make my own side.

Oh, I see. Perhaps you could ask Teancum for the model, if you haven't already tried?

I already have the model, I just can't get it working.

I see, sort of. I saw the Sith Trooper in the screenies, if that's what you mean, and that was not from the conversion pack. But if you do have the model from the Conversion Pack, then I'm not going to be much help - I'm by no means an expert on modelling and the like.

Thanks to Saitek's way of adding in your own weapons to existing units:
MasterSaitek009 wrote:If you want a modable Kit Fisto just use this method that I made up. This requires the conversion pack so if you don't want your map to rely on it don't bother reading any further. So here's what you have to do:
1. Create a new ODF and corresponding REQ.
2. Put this line first on the ODF has this line at the start
Code: Select all
[GameObjectClass]
ClassParent = "rep_hero_fisto"
This will call on Kit and now you can just put all the stuff you want to edit (e.g. speed, weapons..)in this odf and it will override anything in the previous classes.
2. LUA time! Go into the LUA and put
Code: Select all
ReadDataFile("SIDE\\heroes.lvl",
"rep_hero_fisto")
at the bottom of the ReadDataFile section
3. Put the line for your new side that you made in step 1. right after the above line.
4. Now, set the Republic hero to the new REQ name Now, you should be set.

The Sith Trooper
will live, and I don't even have to munge it!

Yeah, thanks to me saving the Order 66 beta version of the map for myself (:P) you all have the clone assasin.
And Z13, I'll beta test along with everyone else, I'm reserving myself for GT4 and the Conversion pack testing.

Wootage! Clone Assasin! but the skin isn't very good though. The Neyo model can be worked into the assassin. But I'm not a modder so you can just ignore that advice.

Hold on to that skin+unit for me, I might want to use it for future projects.

No problem.
Here's the reference pic I used:
I used a Neyo skin I had laying around in my backup files from last June, which I modified to suit the assassin, but I don't know who originally created the skin. If they'd let me know and give me some proof they made it I'll gladly give them credit.
