Cool. Btw I tried to find XSI 5.1 but when I clicked the link to the downloads category, I couldn't find the right version. And it was a trial, and trials allays lack the most intresting features of the program, or they have loads of annoying limits everywhere. So could anyone please download the boltgunmodel from the link I posted (very small file) and convert it to msh format? It shouldn't take more than a minute if you know how to do it (and many here do).

trial version can also export to msh. just install the pandemic xsi addon.

Could you please post a link? I can't find 5.1 on google and the xsi homepage downloads section doesn't have it it seems.

And this logo? (Nothing special)
Red parts are tranparent.
I hope it's ok I'm creating them mostly like they are in W40k Dawn of war?

Both those are great
Will the quote things at the bottom corner change randomly? Propably not possible. But it's awesome.
The logo too is great, just what I was planning to use.

The Tau commander Ive seen before, it would need a new model for sure.
The city map would be awesome, if you can convert google sketchup models to battlefront, there are lots of building models to use, many are ruined too.
But the crashing won't stop, it's not the maps fault, it's completely default, and every time I make a custom side it crashes, even if I just take the reps and adjust one skin before munging. I reinstalled the modtools even, but it didn't help. If it keeps doing this I will have to upload the project to make someone else munge/test it.

I think they'd sue me for it. Taking an mp3 of music is one thing but taking all their models is something different. Besides, I have no idea how to extract models from DOW.

Menu is ready so far. I will PM them to you and you can say what you want me to change.
And about the fonts,
there's a problem:

I don't have the modtools.

And I think it wouldn't be enough to just send me that file, but I will try it.

It would be easier if you sent me the fots. But I can't test them either. maybe we should wait with that, and try and get the menu ingame. Im not sure wich file to replace but if the menu you made was the main menu before the map loads then I can test it, game doesn't crash untill I load a custom side.

Font thingy worked. (At least the program)
Gonna find a good font now, if you already know one please say.

Munging the menu stuff right now, will be exiting to see it in game. I found these fonts once:

I really messed things up, now, I somehow emptied the games shell file (data/build/shell) and I only got the 40k shell files in data40k/build/shell. And I couldn't see the fonts either.

Just take the shell.lvl from data_XXX/_LVL_pc/(shell?)/shell.lvl <---typed from head
and copy it to star wars battlefront 2/gamedata/data/_lvl_pc/(shell?) <---typed from head

Ah, I see, you meant that game directory.
edit: There are no shell.lvl in the data_XXX/_LVL_pc/(shell?)/shell.lvl <---typed from head directory.
wierd.
Ok now I managed to munge a shell.lvl, appearently there was no shell.req before. But when I put it in gamedata/lvl_pc the game refuses to start and if I put it in 40k/data/lvl_pc nothing happens.
EDIT
After a week I fanally got the maps working again, the next map will be released soon. It's pretty much just Mustafar with some minor adjustements but Ill try to get the menus and such in it.

Will remember it. If I can find a way to use several textures for one model there could be different chapters on different maps, that would make it more varied and intresting.

How did you munge the shell.lvl?
RepSharpshooter told me you have to put the shell files into your data folder (data_XXX/shell) and munge them then.

Well, I need the right version of xsi in order to convert them to mesh format before I can do anything else. Once that is done I will see if I can contact the guy, but he said in some description that modders could use it if they gave him credits.

Indeed. It was made by Aman/Pinguin but one of the menus (not that one) I added some 40k art because it looked a bit empty. I tried to make it blend and it looks quite nice. Will post a screen soon.
Now Im trying to get the fonts ingame. I think they are in the common.lvl but when I override the games one with the new one the game acts like its a console game and tells me to press start to continue once the logos at the start are over. I pressed esc but all I got was a black screen with a "back" button that didn't do anything.

Ahhh...right I tried it once too and had that error, seems like we have to keep the font like it is.
