I'm having trouble with my layers now, I deleted the SD layer that didn't want to work and made a new layer with working SD, but the old layer still appears in game and my new layer doesn't seem to get munged. All my other changes do work wel :S I finished my "Attacking a Star Destroyer" map that will be released on 15/5 (can't upload it earlier because I exceeded my bandwith by about 2 GB :P) but still can't fully concentrate on this map because I already started progress on a new space map between ESB and ROTJ (WIP thread will be posted later this evening). The control ship hangars are almost finished but at the moment i'm putting the hangars in front of the core ship until my new model is finished (i'm replacing the original model with a more detailed model)

Yeah, but this isn't the map I was talking about, the other map (between ESB and ROTJ) is the map I was talking about.

Bad news:
After changing the weapons for the pilot (again :P) the game crashed. I made a new map and copied my sides and layers, restarting the REP side, it crashed again :( I'm restarting this map so I am unable to get a BETA out in the coming week, but I will post a BETA within 2 weeks.

If you want a real sbd, they cant run, they're slow, they're posture is straight and tall, and (optional part) they're model is incorrect. Look at the movie or something and check their arms shoulders, head neck and legs. Plus, they're taller and bigger

^Ok thx for the tip, I will work on that :)

On changing the pilot's weapons: are the pilot odf "WEAPONSECTION" lines in numerical order? If not, that will crash the game. If it's not that, check for minor syntax errors in the odf. You should also compare the weapon changes to other unit odfs with the same weapons to be sure it's properly entered. Also, be sure the weapon you're giving the pilot is actually in your odf folder. If you made other changes before you munged, check those as well. Hopefully, this will save you a real headache, if you still have the original data somewhere.

Ok thx for the tip, I think it was that I left the ImmuneToMines line from the engineer in their (my new pilot is based on the Clone Engineer).
Btw. I already had a horrible headache so I couldn't go to school or work for 3 days lol.

Please don't make them slower. Watch Geonosis (the large shot of the Homing Spider Droids), they run just as fast as the other battle droids.

They still run at normal speed they just can't sprint anymore. I figured that my game didn't crash because my Republic side was munged incorrect but that SWBFII doesn't seem to be able to handle space maps with 5 cap ships at each side and about 25 frigates lol.

It has been a bit quiet about this map for some time but now I finally got rid of all my trouble exept that OOM'9's DC-15 Carbine is just invisible lol. I was forced to completely restart this map because I kept crashing on my Republic Side. I again added the SWBFI MAF but removed the SWBFII Droid Gunship. I will probably release a public beta sometime soon, but I'm first going to try to making the Maf's weapons to work again.

It would nice if you have some time to include droidekas in a space map since they are just as tough as SBD.

As for the Super Battle Droid I must be honest in this ok. From my view, LucasFilm represented the SBDs not "super", but terrible and hidious; they really nerfed them up especially in Episode 3. That one scene with them and R2, don't assume SBDs are really that stupid.

For one thing, a real SBD should have a secondary blaster arm and/or a real wrist rocket launcher. I'm not saying you have to do this but I'm only giving my opinion of a true Super Battle Droid.

Look here if you have time.

I would really like to add Droideka's to this map they can't enter any ship so their stuck on their cap ship.

Exactly. And is there anything wrong with that? Not at all.

Skywalker since you're a creative mapper, I suggest experimenting the droideka to make them more realistic. For one thing, do not always use the movies as your big source. Try to use other common senses and ideas you've seen them in other video games.

Here's one thing you know that's not realistic. They're hyped shield of 3000. I recommend dropping it to about 2400.

Again all I want to do is help you.
