for my upcoming mod,(I've spent ages on this) I need some more soldiers for the pirate team.

What I have from the stock battlefront so far:
All Engineer
Droideka

What other units could look good on the pirate team?

PS My mod is called Pirate Crysis, that adds the pirate team against the corucant guards and many other armys.

Scavenged B1 droids maybe? (make them look a bit more rusty/used to suit pirate's)
You can also use the IG-88 models (they can be found in the SWBF1 assets, if I remember correct)

Why would I make a real life pirate expansion?

The pirates are bounty hunters in the SW galaxy!

Wouldn't hurt to be more specific next time then.

Rogue Scout/Clone Troopers? Twilek? Rebel Soliders? Maybe get your hands on some of the Aliens used in Dark Times?

Yes, everyone does. They're people like Calico Jack, Blackbeard, and the current Somali pirates who raid ships to get supplies and sell them for money.

If you're going for space pirates, the sky's the limit... Pretty much any model'd work once properly reskinned. Use your IMAGINATION *insert hands gesture and rainbow here*. You can do what you want, 'cos a pirate is free.

Tis to be said, if ye be lookin fer REAL pirates, me matey, I may still 'ave some seaworthy skins from an unfinished mod fer ye, though it be many a moon ago they were made, an may have been lost during the Great Storm of '08, ripped right of me harrrddisk.. Yarr but it be clear that yer not. 'Tis for shame.

As for pirates, yeah the sky really IS the limit.

Look at the Zann consortium, they had SLAVES, thats another concept

Weequay, rodian(released), trando(released) are just a variety of species available.

Eyepatches really ARE a valid concept too.

Some reskinned rebels, han solo outta help out.

ANYTHING, maybe a re-skinned scavenged B2 as the special unit.

Re-skinned magnaguards as the bodyguards.

Bothan assassin cutthroats.

Take them ALL

You just gotta basically reskin

Maybe not that funny to you, but 99.9% of all people would think of those traditional (and current) pirates, not Star Wars bounty hunter type pirates. You presume too much.

trandos were released in a skin pack, check the assets thread. I'm not sure about rodians. However, if you want some piates, it is going to incolve some skinning on your part. By the way, Crysis is the game, crisis is how the actual word is spelled.

I don't know what all you maniacs are talking about, but when he said pirates I was quite certain he meant these or maybe, just possibly, these.
