There's multiple Hollywood videos in my area... Tean, is it like Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robins where the building has the banner thing for both, or do you need to actually go inside and find it? 'cuz if there isn't, I'm guessing Michigan doesn't have game crazy.

I bought an extra copy of Battlefront II for the PC at Gamestop and it only included the play disc and second install disc. No instruction manual. No product key. No install disc three or four. And before anyone asks, it was not a used copy as far as I know. I paid the full price for the game. Luckily, since I already had Battlefront II, I just used the install discs and product key from that. I didn't want to bother going back to the store.

Insn't that illegal? Can't you just sue them for that. Guess not, since they still exsist. Where I live, theres NO game store. The best we have out here is black buster, which has no games to what so ever, WORSE, it takes about MONTH to for stores like wal-mart and Zellers to get the latest games.

Uhh... What's Zellers? Eh. I only really get DS games and such from GameStop. That way, I know that they're gonna have every disc. But I really on't like the store that much. I bought the game Naruto Clash of Ninja as Gamestop. 3 times. 1 and 2: Used, dead disks, I returned them less than 10 minutes after I bought them. They said it was my fault, and so I was given 15 bucks for the $30 price. #3: Scratched, wouldn't take it back. Had to keep it. It works fine, just the occasional sound glitch.

Eh. The thing is, you can buy a game there, play it once, decide you don't like it, and return it for 15 bucks. Even if it was 60, and you return it within the first day. My friend did (or, at least, claims he did) that. 15 bucks for a brand-new once used 360 game that was 60 bucks.

@DarthZ13 - EB Games = Canadian GameStop.

EB Games sucks, I've had many a bad experience shopping there.

EB games = International "GameStop", they merged with GameStop in 2005 and are GameStops subsidiary.

EB Games used to be a decent store before they got bought out by Gamestop. I miss them actually. Even the EB Games I used to go to that are now 'officially' GameStops suck now.

I know, I was telling DZ that, because we don't have GameStop in Canada, we have EB Games.

Heh. At one of the major malls in my area, the man owning it, who some of my friends know directly (and sorta think he's not the smartest mall owner ever), made an, uh, "odd" error. EB games on one side, Gamestop on the other. :?

Not very uncommon. before EB Games merged with GameStop many of their stores went by different names to allow themselves multiple stores in a single mall.

No, the EB games has been there forever. Gamestop is brand-new. They weren't both there for a while. In fact, he replaced something worthwhile, like AE or Hollister, with it. It was a small store for one of those shops, but it shoulda' stayed whatever it was. Unless it was already another EB games, somehow. :P

I have a bad stors,too.
I wanted to sell Turok and NFS Pro Street at their store. The Games were at that time very new and they wanted to give me
€35€ for both games. That would be if i would give them one as present and one to 1/2 Price so that would be nearly 100€ lost..I needed to laugh against the sales clerk.I said No Thanks and went away.

Thats like: Give us 2 Ps3 games and you got one for the half. What does the think? That its a good deal for both sides?

I hate them and dont buy any Games at their Stores.

We have two GameStops right in front of Wal-Mart.. Where do I go to get a new game or console? Guess, Wal-Mart. Yeah, I've gotten 3 games from GameStop before, and the service there was quite wonderful but, you won't get a good refund on the game or be able to exchange it.

Games bought from GameStop: 3
Games bought from Wal-Mart - I think 45

Games bought from GS w/ me present: about 7
Games bought from target w/ me present: About 40
Games bought w/ me present: About 47 Image
My friend preordered TFU from gamestop.
Costs:
To preorder online: $70
To pick up: $30
That's $100 to preorder a game from gamestop. When I preordered from Lucasarts, I Paid $50 for the game, $10 for s&h, and I get a free comic.

GameStop is the only retailer around. Rhino Games was soooo much better. Play n' Trade will pay more money for a used PS2.

the same forums wrote:Unless you're trying to get a rare game, I don't see why you would buy at Gamestop. They never have any decent deals for their new releases. At Circuit City, Target, and Best Buy sometimes they'll have sales or $10 gift card upon purchase of certain new releases. Amazon has some good deals at times too. I remember purchasing Call of Duty 4 on Black Friday for $45 last year. Once a year, Toys R Us usually has a nice buy 2 and get a 3rd game free sale in October, November, or December.

And my own experience:

I mentioned a while back that I was gonna get a 360, and that I was going with GameCrazy because even though it was the same price at Gamestop, it would come with a 20gb hard drive, and no nagging about subscribing to Game Informer / Gamestop "EDGE". Well, on top of that, I got 12 free rentals at Hollywood Video (part of the same building) which is totally awesome. So now 12 games i might have never played I'll rent and beat!

So once again, Gamestop sucks. Go somewhere else if you can.
