It might, but as I mentioned in the first post, I was taking this video so that I could use it in a portfolio video, which will have a much more cut-down version of the original. I didn't want to have a backing voice track that I'd have to record separately and match up with the video (that's a huge pain), and even if I did, my mic input is terrible.

As it was, the fact that I had playthroughs on video was just secondary to my original goal anyway. I uploaded them in their entirety because I thought it would be fun for archival purposes.

I'm not a voice actor, but I do have a voice. I think I can pull off talking like myself pretty okay - I don't have to act a part to add commentary (although it would be interesting tracking the entire thing with a Vader voiceover).

I'm always interested on these 'behind the scenes' commentaries, it's nice to know more about the inspirations and ideas behind a game, movie or book through the developer's own words. By the way, I have one question that wasn't answered in the playthrough: why did you choose to start Rebel Ops with the planet Aquilaris?

I wish I had found that rocket launcher on the roof, I wasted two lives and five minutes killing Shock Troopers until I got a rocket launcher drop. I should search the roof of random bulidings more often, I guess.

Sounds like a must-have.

I wanted to make an underwater map, simple as that. That was the only planet I really had any pre-decided design for.

"The Big 'L's" concept was based loosely off of the book "The Krytos Trap" (M. Stackpole) but the design of the Star Destroyer portion was based off of this level:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z0M7HLZPLU (start at about 1:45 to see some direct visuals)
and the design of the flying portion was based off of this:

The mine section in that was an original design.

Bakura I made the end of it because I knew I wanted to remake my original map. I justified its inclusion in the story after the fact (the planet itself obviously had no bearing on the story, it just needed to be an Imperial base).

Nice vids -- I lol'd at the super-fast growing sea foliage when you were in the sub and the 'heart collected' sound (Zelda) :P

I know, I thought it was bizarre too as the footage is straight from ingame. Those were unfortunately probably the parts with the most prominent themes or parts where the game-related noises were pretty quiet.

I considered recutting the audio for those parts, just so that they wouldn't get that label slapped on them, but it's a huge amount of work and it would be nearly impossible to sync up correctly.

Sorry this is a little late, as I've been on Spring Break vacation, but I've heard this as been happening to alot of YouTube videos for strange causes. It's probably a bug on someone's part, but we're not sure who. Anyhow, alot of the other YouTube users disputed "Sony's" claims and they got their videos unblocked.

For those of you who've watched the original movie-length walkthrough this will be somewhat extraneous. I had to compile a more concise version of the original walkthrough to use as a portfolio piece. I'm posting it here because I like keeping things documented, and who knows, maybe sitting through seventy minutes of video wasn't your cup of tea before.

I could never finish the Big "L". My hand would always get so sweaty, right when I fall off the edge every single time from those fans, or when I crash into the sides of the thermal exhaust tunnel.

Haha, true.

For me the most difficult map was Aquilaris. I never thought I would be afraid of fighting mining droids, those things are deadly... the CIS should have scrapped the whole B-1 line of battle droids and used a swarm of mining droids instead, clones would flee in terror.

Really? Aquilarius seemed easy to me. Maybe that was before I set my difficulty to "Elite" on the PC I was using.

Great vids, great maps, thumbs up!
