What about a training simulator for when you are waiting around for your match to start? Perhaps like a shooting gallery or spawned ai.

Tomorrow I will try to get the segway ingame. (Epm01 modeled it). I found a good use for them: segway races around the hallways

I'll make sure to make them go really fast with boost and jump then.
Also, I had another awesome idea: different arena layouts with a toggle switch. That way, you can toggle between different obstacles in the arena. I'm thinking of a couple designs, including blank, boxy maze, circular maze, etc. That will add even more variety and interest into the map

So the bet's out? Well, seeing as you can only use one value, why not make it so that it gives you a point for every kill the team you bet on gets, and takes it away for every kill the other team gets. You could make it so that it does that with only entering one value, right?

Also, you should prolly make sure that there are NO people whatsoever in the arena when you can change the props, as then people could cheat and be caught in an object, so maybe make it teleport everyone.

Some good points Fluffy_the_ic. I still don't know exactly if this betting system is plausible though.
Working on the segway now. At school, I'm trying to sketch out possible layouts for the arena obstacles. Any ideas are welcome.

Are you still up for suggestions about the bunker in the middle? If it were big (not super huge, but enough for 6 people with space), you should add an elevator that goes underground and has some lounge / "base" / CP.
What kind of obstacles are you looking for, like barriers?

Stereo = Major improvement. Its never been done before in SWBF2 and will be fun to try.

What music will be playing / available to play? Is there a cycle of songs that just plays through which you can start and stop or is it one song?

One Idea for an arena setup would be a lazer maze. With see through lazers through which you could see your enemy, but you'd have to reach him to kill him.

Two things
(1) Have the radio playing SymphonyX music (nice, clean, and INSANE music)
(2) In the middle of the arena should be a bunker with glass as a spectator's "Up-Close" spectating area.

would be pretty sweet. You could connect it either by a teleport function or by an underground tunnel.

Or it could be like a cupola on a blimp and hover there, with a glass bottom with which you could see the map from a bird's-eye-view.
Here's an idea to fill space in the loft: have a couch with a screen in front of it, and when you sit on the couch, you start playing a simple game, like Galaga or something. You could do this by sitting on the couch, and somewhere else (like under the map) you're actually controlling a turret that can't look around with a target in front of it, and when you fire you destroy your target, it resets itself, and on your screen (which you are looking at the whole time) your Galaga ship moves / shoots / responds in some other way. You would need a couple of positions so when you switch positions (scroll up, default), you control a different turret, each with a specified task.
If it's not possible, I wouldn't be surprised, as it sounds like a work to make to begin with, let alone operate.

About the galaga thing, you'd die when yer ship does
Mid-arena bunker could be done easily without obstructing certain parts of battle. Simple have it be
a: a room hovering maybe 5 meters off of the ground with acces from anywhere EXCEPT the battlefield, or
b: have it be underground with a terraincutter and have a glass roof at ground level and just have access from the main lounge.

There's already about 6 cameras above the arena which you can control from the lobby,

Which alleviates the need for a bunker in the middle.

I can't find a suitable animation for it though. The stap, turret, observe instruments, and many others just don't work. Turret anims would work except it infinitely loops through different poses.
