Merging objects but keep texturemapping intact?

How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

Merging objects but keep texturemapping intact?

Post by Rends »

Hm,
it doesn´t work.

I select texturemapped objects and if i use model->create poly msh->merge
it kills my texturemapping.

I set tolerance to 0
and click on merge Attributes "ALL" button but the texturemapping is gone

Any ideas?

One tought, when you do merge, it creates a new polymesh, based on the original objects, so It skips textures becouse it can give strange effects... that's at least what I think... So I think you just have to do it again, or don't merge and just put em under same parent.

on mine it merges them but only works if they are using the same texture, there should be a merge button under texture mapping and also one for the bone weights to merge, but it might be because im using advanced and it does have more tools.
