I am starting this re-thread because this was a good topic until the flaming started. Do not flame this topic or everyone involved will face banning. You have been warned. These are not my words, but guru's and I appologize if I seem harsh. Post only comments related to this subject and support Lord Bandu on his project.

I wouldnt mind seeing some more updates considering the last update was a while back.
but other than that the map looks good and no one can contest Bandu in modeling

Well im havin problems with lighting and sun ....for some strange reason all my black textured objects are turning green (these being the objects oposite to the sun light). The ones in the shade are not green.

That is wierd. I had experienced that on another map I was reviewing before school slammed me. Has anyone found a way to fix it?

im not sure whether this applies to all the black/geen parts but some of the black is just me filling in a BLANK photoshop with black using the paint roller tool .....also i know for a fact that when iv got a grey texture from the net and iv darkened it so its black the green problem does occur.
This is slowing me down alot as i cant do all my lighting etc with this problem

They are looking real good guys. Keep up the good work. And Bandu, I'm sure someone here has found/knows of a solution or a work around. Wish I can help, but I'm still working on refining my modeling skills and haven't tried messing with zeroeditor.

hmm... THAT was a tricky one... and you said something about the sun...? try to change the sun reflections or something like that to see what THEN happens

yea there seems to be a problem with the shadow colors. I tried to changed them blue but instead it gave me green. Wonder what those numbers r based on...

Supposed to be RGB format, but I heard rumors that it may be reversed. Check out psych0fred's site. I think it was brought up there.

The shadow color is the color which is SUBTRACTED from the lighting, it isn't the actual color of the shadow.

very nice modeling however all the images seem jumbled like the map doesnt know what it wants to be... what is the layout of the map?

the 1st couple of pics there arnt in the map (they were done b4 i knew what i was really doing in xsi) but please be more specific
The basic layout is- the facility is split into 2 sections ....1 being the more 'homely' control rooms,conference rooms ,the other being a more of an indoor lava mining area.These 2 sections are split by a river of lava only crossable by a couple of bridges.
The Imps/reps will start off on the landing platform on the outside of section 1 (control rooms) while the cis will start off on the mining side on a larger platform ...bit like a hangar .
Each section will have 3 main rooms each with a CP in them(8 cps in all). There will be quite a few corridors (these corridors will be split into 3 catagories - Big , medium and small -allowing for various forms of indoor fighting ( on this note im gonna decide on which units will be included or not eg. The rocket launcher dudes may be slightly toned down ...maybe havin less mines ,aswell as less grenades in general for all units.) I dont want it turning out like jabbas palace (sayin that, as with the fashion of mod maps , i doubt itl get played online anyhow

)

Starting to add environmental effects now ....iv added lightning, smoke and lighting (mainly from the lava(which will be animated) when i put it in.
I will be adding wind and blowing black/brown dust amongst more smaller lighting for on the landing pad(which will have the ep3 lambda shuttles on (as a prop) ...once iv made them.
near enough all the models made for 1 of the 2 facility sections.
I havent really spent any time or effort as yet on the terrain/mountains/volcanoes so they will improve dramatically from what you see in these pics....

*EDIT* I still need to put a shadow region in for the Separatists Hangar*
Wont be too long now untill release. Look out for my video preview soon(about a week ,depending on how busy i am ).
I cant wait to get it to beta stage and release it for you patient lot
