How big do you usually play your BF2 battles? I usually have my reinforcements at 200-300, sometimes I would go higher but rarely. Because if someone puts the reinforcements on their map to say +1000, it takes me forever to finish and so I just like 15min battles not 45 or anything higher. So I guess I would be under medium battles.

Probably have to go with medium size. Anything too large, especially on open battlefields, can be annoying.
Large fights with all melee units would be fun though

Medium style. Not too long or too short, but just right. I always tend to keep my reinforcement count at the default 150, though.

Medium. A battle too big is too hard to memorize and too spread out.

Lol, I think that would fall under the small catagory then.

If a map takes longer than 30 minutes that's too long of a game. I want to play a map for 30 or less and move one to another one.

Lol, I usually have my reinforcement count as high as it goes, and then turn on a five minute timer so that I can play a bunch of maps before one of my parents or one of my younger siblings can kick me off.

Same but replace 30 with 20. Only exceptions are RPG maps (FFX, Reb Ops, OFM) and PWNfest.

Agree with the 20-30 minute limit. I'll usually set reinforcements as high as they go and just quit whenever I get bored. In fact, I rarely play a match all the way through.

I would say Medium is best. Not to little, not to many. Just right

Anything more and it just gets tiring. I normally keep the re informent count on 150.

What is more important than unit count is the playability of the map.
I usually tend to boost reinforcements to around 450 on a shipped map (basically the 300 setting in the options) and 32 AI but if you can win the game after 2-5 minutes and only get 20 kills then that is not so much fun. A good intense battle that does last 20 minute or more is a lot more fun because if you are concentrating on surviving or shooting you don't notice it has taken that long.
But for making a map, unless it is for XL mode or specific situtation, then keeping the default 150 units is enough 200 at the most.

That's good when you are playing the game, but not so good if you're supposed to be studying

I typically put mine at max reinforcements for shipped maps. Then the challenge is to survive for the whole time without hiding.

Medium. Battles lasting too long become boring after a while; I think it's better to play 2-3 maps instead of playing 1 extremely large one.

I'm for big battles on huge maps. Good way to use the little tactics you can in BF2!
I also like vehicles and fighting alongside them so, that's one reason. . .

This happens to me way too often...
Seriously though medium 500 units, 15-30 minute battles are what I prefer.
However, if I have a little too much time on my hands, I like to crank up the settings to the max (This is when I'm playing big maps or reliving a battle from the movies.)

90% of the time I use the default setting. It seems perfect for me. Sometimes if I'm really bored I'll max it out and spend 1-2 hours on a sniping spree
I tend to avoid heroes for some reason. It really isn't my style to be so overpowering.
Another one of my odd habits is to only max it out on Hoth. I don't know why, but it is a good large map. Lol, my favorite thing to do on Hoth would actually be to pick up troops in a snow speeder, and drop them off in the back part where you hunt with the Wampas (Behind the big hangar. Only accesible by walking on top of the hangar, or by snow speeder). They can't get out and wander aimlessly.

I try to save my team by transporting as many as I can there, without losing CPs. I don't know if going back to the Wampa section is a glitch or bug, but it sure is fun.
