EAX & ALchemy

Hey guys. I recently purchased a Sound Blaster Audigy SE PCI card in order to have EAX in Battlefront since Microsoft cut hardware-accelerated sound after Windows XP. Creative, the creators of EAX, released a software package called "ALchemy" that emulates EAX in Windows Vista and 7. Previously I had a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit PCI card but only Audigy and X-Fi cards have ALchemy support.
Anyway, EAX works in Battlefront now, Bass Management included, but I've been having this extremely annoying recurring sort of "glitch" where whenever I'm inside a sound space, all of the in-game sounds and streams, music included, are increased in pitch and tempo and are filled with constant static noise. Interestingly, however, adding /audiosamplerate 22050 to the end of the BattlefrontII.exe shortcut target eliminates this annoying glitch. Setting rate to 48000 or 44100 retains the glitch; I haven't tested any rates between 22050 and 44100.
Has anybody else had and actually fixed this problem?
