Readme:
Extract ‘imp.lvl’, 'all.lvl', ‘impshell.lvl’, and ‘allshell.lvl’ to LVL_PC/SIDE. Make sure you back up your originals first.

Please folks, when you download this do the following - post info on bugs, issues, gameplay suggestions you have in this topic. Any screens taken would be nice too. :)

Description:
Here we go - GCW sides. This will replace the rebel and imperial sides on any map you have that doesn't use custom GCW sides. Its taken so long to upload I figured I'd make the beta available for whoever wants to give it a go.
This no BFP or BFX or Conversion pack. Saying that, everyone has custom weapons, the two opposing sides are very different, but no localisation or new textures or new models (some new effects).

The Side 'Manual' About 95% correct.

---Rebel Infantry---

Rebel Trooper
A staple anti-infantry unit. His main weapon is always a blaster rifle. Other weapons his various versions carry are blaster pistols, thermal detonators, concussion grenades, detpacks and modified 'spray' rifles.

Rebel Vanguard
Slow, strong, able to tear through armoured vehicles and buildings. Armed with one of three different missile launchers, a pistol, and a combination of various thrown and placed explosives.

Rebel Sniper
Quick, weak and best used to eliminate targets at long range. Rebel snipers carry deadly poison dart rifles, blaster pistols, grenades, and even recon droids capable of calling in orbital strikes. Note - snipers on interior maps do not have recon droids.

Rebel Smuggler
Armed with a lethal short range blaster shotgun, explosives, health/ammo packs, a manable turret and his trusty fusion cutter, the smuggler is a support class fit for many roles.

Rebel Pilot
Replacing the smuggler on some maps is the pilot. He uses a projectile shotgun, a fusion cutter, health/ammo packs and two manable turrets. He also has the ability to repair vehicles from within.

Bothan Spy
Stealthy, fast, but lacking in health, the Bothan can be devastating if used correctly. He carries the incinerator, lethal at close range, and the railgun, a powerful weapon that takes some getting used to. He also carries timebombs, a regeneration wave and a recon droid with self destruct capability.

Rebel Commando
Replacing the bothan spy on forested maps, the commando carries a powerful assault rifle, an advanced pistol, time bombs and grenades.

Wookie Warrior
Slow. Strong. Armed to the teeth. Wookies are the 'tank' of the infantry classes. They carry a bowcaster, a powerful ion cannon that disables vehicles and shields, and they can throw time bombs at things. Note - Ion cannon must be fully charged to fire at full power and disable vehicles.

Rebel Pilot (Space)
Best used for dogfighting thanks to auto repair. On foot the pilot uses an advanced pistol, a fusion cutter and detpacks.

Rebel Marine (Space)
For boarding/defending ships. Armed with a blaster rifle, a railgun, time bombs and a manable turret, the rebel marine is an effective troop and vital system killer.


---Rebel Vehicles---

AAC-1 Fightertank
The rebels answer to the imperial's heavy armour. With lasars, heavy cannons and a turret that fires swarms of missiles, the AAC-1 is not to be taken lightly. It can also crush troops, and boost into the air for a few seconds when moving to clear obstacles, or to flatten enemy troops.


---Rebel Starfighters---

Y-Wing (Bomber)
Bombers are not for destroying enemy aircraft. They are slow, steer like cows, and carry huge amounts of firepower. The Y-wing is armed with a heavy cannon, powerful bombs, and a turret to try and defend against other sarfighters.

X-Wing (Fighter)
Able to out maneouver anything with its great turning speed, the X-wing also has decent speed and weaponry. It uses fairly slow firing, powerful lasers to fight starfighters, and carries six proton torpedoes, best used to deal death to turrets or critical systems.

A-Wing (Interceptor)
Tiny, fairly maneoverable and insanely fast, the A-wing can outrun anything. And it can kill just about anything, with fast firing blaster cannons and lethal shockwave missiles. Don't get too close to enemy turrets though - its very weakly armoured.

'AAC' Gunship (Transport)
A refurnished, rearmed Clone War relic, the AAC is slow, steers worse than the YWing and is best used for troop transport. However, its not defenceless - it uses powerful short and long range flak cannons to keep starfighters at bay, and its co-pilot can fire guided missiles.

---Imperial Infantry---

Stormtrooper
The basic imperial unit. He uses a blaster rifle, a pistol, gas grenades, thermal detonators and has a small amount of flamethrower ammo.

Heavy Trooper
Like the Rebel Vanguard, the heavy trooper is a tank and building killer. He uses either a rocket launcher or a laser cannon, and carries pistols, terminus bombs, and mines to support this.

Scout Trooper
A fast, long range unit, the scout troopers main asset is his powerful sniper rifle, which can be charged to fire an explosive round. He also comes armed with a pistol, gas grenades and a recon droid, with which he can call in devestating orbital strikes.

Imperial Engineer
The engineer is a support and defence unit. His main weapon is a powerful concussion grenade launcher. He also has a fusion cutter, can deploy three ball turrets and a single manable turret.

Imperial Officer
Well armed and useful for support thanks to his rally ability, the officer can also hold out against enemies by himself. His primary weapon is the lethal snoutgun, which fires powerful, fast moving explosives that smash enemies backwards and stick a grenade to them, which explodes a few seconds later. The officer also carries a modified Officer's Pistol, the rally ability and an orbital strike beacon.

Dark Trooper
A powerful unit, the dark troopers main weapon is its blast cannon, a deadly shotgun that can be charged to fire more powerful shots. The dark trooper also uses a commando pistol, thermal detonators and haywire grenades to disable vehicles. The dark trooper also has a jetpack that allows him to quickly boost into the air then fly to safety.

Imperial Pilot (Space)
Best used for dogfighting thanks to auto repair. On foot the pilot uses a modified rifle, a fusion cutter and concussion grenades.

Imperial Marine (Space)
For boarding/defending ships. Armed with a powerful, chargeable heavy rifle, a mortar launcher, thermal detonators and mines, the imperial marine is an effective troop and vital system killer.


---Imperial Vehicles---

IFT-T Fightertank
A hovering menace, the IFT-T comes armed with lasars, missiles and a turret that unleashes powerful ion cannon blasts. Like the AAC-1, the IFT-T can also crush troops. It can do small boosts into the air for a few seconds when moving to clear obstacles, or to flatten enemies. The IFT-T is heavier armoured and uses very powerful missiles, but at the expense of speed and boosting.

AT-ST
An infantry massacerer, the AT-ST uses two different lasar types to mow down soldiers. The co-pilot has control of guided missiles.

AT-AT
Big, bad, armoured and armed with some of the most powerful lasar cannons available, the AT-AT is feared throughout the galaxy. Use its lasars to rip through all opposition, and use its heavy cannons to tear apart absolutely anything. Charge the heavy cannons to increase their power.

Speederbike
Light and fast and with decent weaponry, the speederbike is for when you really want to get there in a hurry. Killing it, however, is easy, so you'll have to rely on speed, fast attacks and the element of surprise to make it useful against enemy forces.


---Imperial Starfighters---

TIE Bomber (Bomber)
Bombers are not for destroying enemy aircraft. They are slow, steer like cows, and carry huge amounts of firepower. The TIE Bomber is armed with a heavy cannon, powerful bombs, and a bombardier to fire even more bombs.

TIE Fighter (Fighter)
Faster than the X-wing but outturned and outgunned by it, the TIE fighter is the staple Imperial starfighter. It uses two laser types - fast and slow firing - to fight starfighters, and can do a little damage against capital ships and turrets with its slow cannons.

TIE Interceptor (Interceptor)
Nearly as fast as an A-Wing, and nearly as maneouverable as an X-Wing, the interceptor is a pure fighter killer. It fights with repeating lasar cannons, and a large supply of homing missiles, fired two at a time. As with the A-wing, don't get too close to enemy turrets.

Commando Shuttle (Transport)
Like the AAC gunship, this craft really should be used for troop transport. Its arnaments are heavy cannons, missiles, guided missiles and an anti-starfighter tail gun. It maneouvers horribly, but does have an ability to escape enemy fighters and missiles - the pilot can make the shuttle do mini-hyperspace jumps.

Grev: figure of speech mate. Good against vehicles and buildings. Doesn't actually tear holes in em or something.

I have a big favor to ask of someone with a fast internet connection and with a filefront page.......
Can someone who has all 4 files that are needed for this zip them and upload them to filefront so there is just a single download for the whole mod. This is partly for convenience and partly so it can be uploaded to SWBF2 files.
