my only problem is, space maps have a band tendancy to crash when you add too many objects close together, so I gotta try and minimize the amount of halls.

man gogie, your fast! That's an awesome hammerhead. I can't wait to be flying straight at it's nose then do an flip turn and blast some sith out of the air! Man, this'll be terrific.

Im not fast, I just dont go incredibly slow, anyways, that model has quite a few flws right now anyways, I noticed I have to add glow to the engines, add a shadow mesh, and Im gonna have to seperate it into 3 diffrent meshes (its one mesh right now)

No problem Gogie, anything for one of my friends. :D As mentioned, I got as many as I could. lol. Cause Yahoo and Google were a little bit limiting on the pictures. I had to resort to the old mod team site I use to work with, so. :) Too bad I was fired. (Well, actually I kinda quit, but yea.)

Oh yes! Looking great gogie. I love that second shot of it. The Republic Hammerhead GLORY. Could you post a screenie of the hangar? I'm sorry I ask about it so much, It's just that I myself can't envision a hangar on one of those ships and I'd like to see your choice of placement.

Another thing: Will the fighter count be high, low, or medium? How about the turret quantity?

The hangar isnt ready yet, nor are any of the ships, but I will prolly finish this entire vessel tommorow, the majority of the turrets will be on the side of the ship near the hangar (about the same placement as the harbingers turrets, in the kotor II video where sion destroys peragus)

the turrets on the starforge itself will be all along the side and top...

Nice thought for the star forge. About the turrets, those turrets on the top and bottom of the head are just for show right. If they are, you could put a turret literally inside the mesh and make it so it can't turn, but fire only. A suggestion. And gogie, you sure get things done efficiently. Unlike a certain me... :P

i doubt youll see my message in the XSI thread but you really gotta up the detail on alot of areas on the cruiser, it looks like the cylinders for the guns on the front have just as many if not more divisions around the y axis, almost looks like a bunch of primitives put together. post some XSI shots of the cruiser with the wireframe overlay on the mesh so i can see its structure.

I think it would look better without the specular, the texture on the bottom is kinda gross, the back section doens't seem quite right, and I agree with Mini that you should make it more high poly (don't be afraid to chop the thing in half if you need to) but other than that I really love it. Seriously, can you say pwn? :D

well he wouldnt have to segment the model, ive made some cruisers without chopping, i dont know if there is even any advantages to segment a model, that would be a better question for psych0fred. i also agree about the specular too, most SW ships are burnt and dirty, far from shiny, just cause the shader ability is there doesnt mean you have to use it. never have i seen a ship in the movies have any kind of glare on them, this game shouldnt be any different.
