Lvl extractor

Post by Darth_Maleval »

Sorry for the n00bish question that has probably already been answered, but where can I find a WORKING .lvl extractor? All the threads concerning them are from 2004 or so, and the links dont work.

I tried one and it doesn't seem to work with SWBF2 LVL files. :(

Just search for extract.exe swbf lvl in Google, select the repeat the search with the omitted results included and you will get all the links you need. The information on the old threads is still valid. Remember, extract is not a de-munger.

It supports SWBF2's texture (dds) and script (lub) files. It may extract other types, but I have not seen anything else extracted yet.

Yup, it's really only good for getting the scripts and textures. It can't do anything else.

How'd you get it to extract? It never worked for me... :(

Okey-Day... zaptillion does not work. The other extractor doesn't work. My desk is about to break from the stress of my head banging against it. My head hurts. Now what?

What file and why are you trying to break it apart?

I'm trying to break apart a copy of all.lvl because I am trying to take my first steps into making custom skins and decided to start by placing little advertisements (like on NASCAR) on the AAC-1.

All of the game's assets (including vehicle skins) are included in the Official Mod Tools, found here.
