I've searched the forums and haven't found anything specifically about creating a sound mod. I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how I might be able to do that.
If this is doable, and I can't imagine why it shouldn't be, where might I start?

Re: Sound Mod Questions
I know, and I've looked at those things. I'm looking for information on how to make a mod to replace the default sounds, not simply to add sounds to a mod map or whatever (I have another topic asking for help on that since I've not been able to get sounds working). I just figured that it must be different if you're seeking to replace stock sound effects throughout the game, akin to changing the stock .lvls in the _LVL_PC folder.

Re: Sound Mod Questions
Hmm... Now, seeing as how all the default sound effects are stored in common.bnk in the stock sound folder, how the music and I believe the VOs are stored in global.lvl in the same folder, and how the ambient streams are all stored in the respective levels' sound lvl files, there should be a way to replace them... I'll have to try some stuff out and get back to you.

If you happen to fing/extract those VO files I would also be interested in them. That is of course if you do extract them.Marth8880 wrote:Hmm... Re: Sound Mod Questions
If you're just looking for the files with little intention to do anything with them in the game, I think somewhere on the site there is a topic about ripping sounds from the game which has some of those voiceovers on it.

@Marth8880
I went ahead and added all of those links to the bottom of your original post since they would be overlooked by most.
