Current Project ~ Landers

Hey guys.... been working on these for a while...

But I have all four of the team LANDERs in the air...

They fly with only one position and are in extreme beta's, but how cool is this screen...

A droid pilot flys the lander in on the test map.

Currently they are almost useless other than coolness factor, but we will see what I can cook up.

JKust posting here for feedback.

Any ideas folks?

Please, could we have a larger picture, OOM' ? I'd like to have a look of the entire lander... :wink:

Why not have like, five passenger positions? That way, you could make some gun turrets and stuff so they're not completely defenseless against enemy aircraft.

Other than that, looks cool. I've always wanted to try my hand at flying a Star Destroyer. :)

What would be awesome would be some sort of dropship. If the repulsors were made in such a way that it would fall but not crash. But tis just a fantasy. Great job so far though.

Finnaly someone did this. . .I was gonna try my hand at it sooner or later.

My idea: Tons of passenger seats. The teams spawn's are out of the way. They get in thier lander, and fly a 'huge' path to the battlefield. Poor mans animated spawns.
Please think of flaws, as I am sure I can come up with a solution.

It would be cool if, when It's landed, it is a spawn point, and in the air it can carry like 20 people

You can make anything fly with one position and even give it one weapon. There can be four passenger slots max, but no turrets without hardpoints to attach them to. I did that with the Imp Trooptransport and the Tie Bomber Transport. Rocks can fly, and I even made R2D2 flyable with an xwing laser. My updated Oasis Duel map coming out soon (as Tatooine: Fueling Station) has an interesting twist to the landers. They have presented a problem though so I have to make two maps, one for each era.

hmm... you could make it a mobile spawn point... maybe modify something to allow the troops to just...fall from it (making them fall like the jet troopers after you are realy high up and your jet fuel runs out... they take no damage...) sux you can only add 4 carry slots...

also make the health VERY high that way it can take a good beating... and you could mod scripts to make the ai attack things attacking the lander...
