Good news, VERY good news!

Thanks to rebel_scum, Uploading.com is the best uploading site i have seen yet, it will upload my file.

Bad news, but not so bad.

I was uploading and right about at 90% the site went under re-construction (the irony of it all!). :roll:

Oh well, at least i have a site to upload to.

Ok, I know people are getting impatient (so am I).

I tried to upload right after the site was updated at Uploading.com, but apparently it didn't like that, so im trying it again and NOW it seems to be working.

I'm no longer going to make any time estimates because i seem to be eating my words, so......when you see a link on this topic that means i have succeeded.

Don't worry, i'm not giving up on this map.

Edit: well I just tested it out and it was awsome :P(but dont play this map with bots on hard :lol: you wont get past landing in there hanger) however there are some bugs.

for some reason unless your up close to one of the ships it isnt visible(I dont know why)

(I reccomend putting less bots in so there arnt as much waiting around for flyers,and barriers there would help that problem)

I kept running outta ammo when i got over there :P

I know this may sound like a lot of problems(and some i dont know if its possible to fix) but overall its amazing someone even made a space map looking so good.

Also if you wanta spend more time on it you could make the ships(and/or objects in them) distructable like the shield genorator in hoth, etc

anyways i cant wait for the CW version! :)
after playing this another 50 times! :lol:

Yes, i need to fix the terrain and make a new sky (i don't know if stars are even an option with BF1, but i could make a sky file with painted stars or something).

I don't know how to fix not being able to see the ship from so far, i'll have to look into it some more.

I need help with planning and stuff like that, i stink making those.

Yes i do need more ammo droids, having to run back and forth from SG to ammo isn't very fun.

Less bots is a good idea.

Oh yes, with having the Capital ships explode, that would be cool...but, i don't know how i would set a chain reaction where the whole ship explodes and not just a quarter or a half of the ship (leaving open spaces for other ships to fly through).

Yea, I think the Star sky wont be much of a problem...also if you can raise all the ships etc up a ton it would look more realistic
planning i can do...just I dont know how I can do it in your map :|

I dont think the chain reaction explosion is a big deal...it would be nicer, but the fact that there is a goal(besides winning) as blowing up the ships...or even objects in them...or both :P I dont know how to make objects destructable but i know its possible,and my brother might know if you dont.

To make things destroyable just look at the .odf of the hoth shield generator, but the chain reaction might be hard since the ships are split into different parts.

Edit: I just played the map again and it seemed like i DLed a later version!
less bots were stuck more were using the flyers and with bots on hard they were really whipping me :lol: It was really fun since it was intense and i just wish someone hosted a server with it and 50 ppl joined!

No bad. Map has many bugs, but GCW SM is first released space map for SWB1.

Thoughts:
1. CP must be uncapturable
2. Vehicles must respawn every 15 sec.

Next version i plan to have:
1. Barriers
2. Planning
3. Destructable capital ships (maybe)
4. AI Guarding the three main objectives

I like this feedback, and hopefully we can get this out to most of the SWBF1 online players. It would be really cool to see some of these maps online and especially a BF2 Space Map.

If you play online plz tell people where to get this map.

I wish i could post this on Filefront but my filter blocks the site (stupid filter).

The ships are probably disappearing in the distance because either the models do not have a low rez version or you have your graphics settings turned down. This is a great idea Karnage I hope you start a nice new trend for SWBF1.

I have great news for all of you BF1 Space map fans!!!

I am coming out with an all new GCW Space Map, im totally dumping the one i have now.

This map will be way better, believe me!

It will be released as soon as tonight, maybe tomorrow.

Most people have the files already, I just wanted to be the first person to think of it. :D

Technically Rend's Space Hoth was the first space map for SWBF but this can definitely be considered the first "real" space map for SWBF.

...No offense to Rends of course. He did his best with what he could. :wink:
