How do I? I have assets from both games. Do I just copy the world I want's folder from the BF1 assets in BfBuilder and copy it into my project folder or what?

This may be hard to believe, but I did.

There is nothing there on converting a map shipped from Star Wars Battlefront I into Star Wars Battlefront II and getting it to work completely well ingame.

The assets between games are almost exactly the same... just copy the the bitmaps, meshes, and odf's that you need.

But if I copy the world, as well as the .wld file and tell the game to read it, will I be able to play the level or not?

you should try this topic from the "everything i need" thread:

index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=8519

try this with the swbf1 maps... and then it´s just try and error. ;)

BF2-'Master', why don't you just experiment some more... I understand you want people to give you everything on a plate but you won't get really far if you don't experiment a bit yourself. A lot is allready posted here on gametoast, might it be the exact question that is answered or a slight variation, but the fact is that eventually you'll have to go experimenting anyway. If you get stuck while experimenting, I (we?) don't mind helping out, that's what we're here for (and so we can get help ourselfs). But it's getting a bit anoying (in my opinion) that you, and some other people, don't seem to experiment at all, and actually want 'us' to do the dirty work.

I can understand if I get a warning from the staff, telling me that I shouldn't be so harsh, but please, considder what I said. Experimenting new(?) things is the whole point of modding.(..well... actually I'd say it's really about making Battlefront II to a really cool game, but experimenting has a nice 2nd, if not shared first place). So try some stuff out, experiment with the gametoast (and mozilla) search function, It has really helped me out quite some times and when it didn't, I was usually sent in the right direction.
And when you get really stuck, I'll be glad to help you out.
