Yes, the one issue (for me) with SWGO JBA is Friendly Fire, or rather the lack thereof. Which is the #1 reason I don't play as much anymore.

It would be better if you had written:
But when I do, I prefer SWGO JBA.
More like the original. :|

Here is a list of the maps I visit most often. :)
(SWGO) NYC
{Dark}Hangout
(SWGO) Jedi Battle Arena
Mercenary Gaming
Gamerz Hero FFA|NoForce|Guns

If I'm playing conquest on JBA, there is a good chance the server will crash, so Merc is a good backup when that happens. (And vise versa)

I don't see how hero assault servers are so popular, heroes in this game suck so bad in every way.

The heroes aren't as terrible as you suggested, but I was never a fan of Hero Assault, takes WAAAY too long and the gameplay is severely lacking, it's fun the first time you play, but after that it becomes useless.

I apologize for dragging up a comment from last page, but gameplay-wise there's not much difference between GCW and CW ears. Different unit models and no Droidekas, but who ever plays as a droideka?

I do. When you have had enough practice, there is a large difference between an A.I. droideka and a human droideka. They are fantastic for rushing because when in roll mode they fly. And if you find a nice corner, like on Tantive IV just sit-back, open your shield and unload.

Until a suicidle clone throws a mine or detpack inside your shield.

Not if you shoot 'em before they get too close. But I will admit, the Droideka isn't perfect, but no units are.

Basically true, and online hero assault is even less fun because everything is force push and pull, and the lightsaber fighting that came with the game lacks any challenge, just whoever hits first.

As far as the era discussion goes, Yuke5 is an anomaly, no matter what era you play more than half the people use engineers or heavy units. So respect for trying to at least play as the game intended Yuke!

I always just play as a basic trooper, sometimes I'll snipe though.

Okay so I asked on SWGO, and I'm told that Space Hoth is already on the playlist. I don't recall ever playing there, but I don't play often or for very long.

Well...I play online almost everyday.

After school, Mercenary Gaming, SWGO JBA, SWGO HA, and DARK or [NR]Killzone all have a quantity of players. JBA and Merc usually almost full if not full. HA usually almost full if not full. JBA has admins but they aren't abusing at all. They do come in when we need them, as alot of us experienced players have ways of contacting them. In HA you will find a Admin almost playing at all times in my experience. In Dark and NR, FF is on, so that either starts alot of TKing, or alot of competition. However, these server can be heavily dominated by players that are some of the best in America which you wont find on the big servers.

If you like playing, I highly suggest you join a clan like NR, (You can send in a App. at NewRepublicgaming.enjin.com) we have many fun ways, scrims, and you can find a lot of opportunity's to 1v1 clan members.

So that kinda sums up SWBF2 Multiplayer... :)

What username do you play as?

Agreed. I actually love the way the heroes work in SWBF2. They wouldn't work in another game, but I would hate Jedi Academy-style heroes on the battlefield. SWBF2 heroes traverse the field quickly, have quick actions, and are more about mowing down droves of enemies than finesse fighting a dark jedi.

There is a happy medium between JKA-style heroes and stock SWBF2 heroes. Less intensive than JKA, yet not as awkward as SWBF2. Now if only a certain modding team had worked a system like this out...

Where? You mean DT2? If so, I quite agree. I didn't like the system at first, but I've grown fond of it.

Well that's one example. Mav did a great job on his system. Although I was specifically referring to the system Rancor and I came up with for TCW, which I've grown to love to much I can't stand the stock Jedi anymore. I'm using the same system for all my mods (or at least my major ones, TCW, BF3, and Shattered Mirror). Simpler than Mav's system, it relies heavily on the ability to block incoming attacks while attacking (well actually you stop attacking to block, it's intentionally not simultaneous for balance reasons) and removing the stock "block" mode altogether.

One of my three main mods I'm the lead developer of. The Clone Wars, Battlefront 3, and Shattered Mirror. The latter of which is more of a personal mod, in that I'm not going out there to please anyone but myself with this mod. Unlike TCW and BF3 which are meant to be liked by certain demographics.
