I figure since I've already wrote out a review for the NJO series, I figure I may as well do another one for a game I finished a few weeks ago. So anyways, here's a review for Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper:

The good
-Great graphics, and being a game that came out back in May of this year, it runs great on my 5- or 6- year old computer (graphics were set on low, though, and even then, looked very good).
-For a game with Jack the Ripper in it, there isn't (much) gore or blood, although you will see a dismembered organ or two.
-There are some references to other Sherlock Holmes stories, and it actually got me into reading Sherlock Holmes.
-Exciting plotline, fun puzzles, and the developers supposedly tried to recreate the streets of London faithfully (although I I'm not sure how accurate it is, as I've only been to London a few times).
-You can go into first-person or third person mode, and play as both Holmes and Watson
-The game is very cheap, only $20 for the PC version. It's also available for the Xbox 360.
-Some of the supporting characters in the game are actually people who lived in London during the time period.

The bad
-There aren't alot of hints given, and those that are given aren't too helpful.
-You'll also find yourself wandering around aimlessly if you're not sure where to go or what to do.
-It's very easy to overlook a minor detail, so you have to be very observant.
-Not sure if this next one is appropriate, so if it isn't, then the staff can remove it: Rating: 8/10. I would definitely recommend this game to others. The lack of hints, however, brings the score down a bit. It's also apparently part of a series of Sherlock Holmes games, which makes me want to get the others.
