Disney might be an evil corporation but it's trying to increase their male demographic so don't expect them to water down Marvel's work and run the risk of chasing said demographic away.

You didn't like Spiderman 3?

Uhh, you do realize Disney is lots and lots more than Mickey and Donald, right? Why would they buy something only to screw it up? Nah - they bought it because they can make money with it. Are they going to jump into a ridiculously successful franchise and change everything? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of buying it?
Personally, even though this was a major shock I see only good coming of this. Disney is a global force, and now Marvel has a big bully in it's corner. That's great, as Disney won't allow for atrocities like the 2003 Hulk film.

Who knows? Maybe this is actually a good thing, maybe this transaction will improve the quality of Marvel's comics. I always thought comic books had a decline in quality after the nineties... (my opinion)

I'd reckon Disney wouldn't want to change too much, Marvel being successful and lucrative as it is. And like Era said, Disney'll reach a new audience through Marvel, provided they pretty much keep it the way it is. So I'm not worried.

OK, just because Disney owns Marvel does not mean they are going to fire everyone in their newly owned branch and hire new animators to make Marvel less violent for small children, since appernetly 3-5 year old children suddenly and unexpectedly the new audience for Spiderman and Iron Man comic books. No. They still maintain the same audience. The creators of these stories still have plans for THEIR characters. The comics will probably be written and illustrated by the same people because they have the most experience with the storyline of their respective comics, having lived and breathed them for years. Just because the Coca-Cola Company owns Sprite does not mean that they are going to try to make Sprite taste more like Coca-Cola Classic.
Bottom line, expect the same products, but more availabilty since now Marvel has more resources.

I'm fine with Disney buying Marvel. I've no reason not to trust them to not screw everything up. After all, they're not EA Games...

Personally, I think this a good thing and a bad thing.
Good thing: It has saved Marvel from bankruptcy... Again.
Bad thing: Disney is a money grubbing corporation and are probably going to mine Marvel for everything.

Har.
Anyone here think Disney might be getting a little *too* big?
Sure, they may make dreams come true...
at the cost of 100 bucks a dream...
Which will fuel Michael Eisner's jetpack...
While he looks down on us and calls us ants...
@What was wrong with the POC sequels?
