I like the dark map better, but it should be dark and foggy. So it's like a mix.

Did any of you actually READ the wik page on Molavar? It's a DESERT world with moisture farms (a la Tatooine).. Hardly fits this map at all..

As for me coming up with a suitable name - I'm at a loss.. Looks good though, keep up the good work.. And I like the lighting. Personally, I don't think enough people use the lightning effects..

Beta has been sent out. I am waiting for a reply from the testers, then I will fix whatever needs to be fixed, add in my custom sides, and release.

I liked the city. However you can't change sides. Also it was for some reason laggy and dark.

I think he means he cannot change to another side after choosing one, it seems to do this on a slew of modded maps...

SolidFett, did this happen after you had played as a hero? If so, I can't fix it. Its a problem with the game.

I don`t think your Map is to Dark.I like it as well as it is.

Here some Things I found:

1.A big Lightning Problem.Every 2 Sec the Screen gets brighter and darker.I think thats not normal.
I made 4 Sec avi : http://files.filefront.com//;6497067;;/ Did some other Tester have this,too??

2.Award Weapon Glitch (when switching back from 2nd to 1st) only Troopers CW/GCW and CIS Battledroid.
3. 5 Tubes and 1 Building from the rear Area at the OilRefinery are floating.

4. Most of the Buildings and the 2 Ramps on the right Side of the Temple are floating

5. The Tunnel under the Temple has 1 Texture Fault near the Middle.

The available Heroes Yoda /Grievous working fine,Boba,too
The CP in the Temple looks great.
I think you should retexture the Yavin Temple then he fits more to the little City.
Anyways the Bolts looks queer but good.

Jabbas Sail Barke doesnt fit.

I dont have much time now so Ill make this brief, most of my coments such as the wall problem were addressed above but some other things I noticed were, heroes are available right at the start while the 2 advanced troopers arent, that doesnt seem to make much sense.
The other thing I noticed was that there is no true boarder, I followed the river with yoda and eventualy it just lead into black which was walkable on, I would say make a out of bounds area.
Last thing, the oil tubes that are neutral desturctable dont seem to have a purpose, their uncapturable and mostly just sit there. I would just make them like the rest of the tubes.

I've fixed the lightning problem and all of the floating objects. I also added hills to that open space on the Republic beach. (it seemed too flat and boring)

Could you reskin the Mos Eisley buildings? They just look kinda... Mos Eisleyish and they stick out. Maybe to something that matches the dirt?

Just noticing: The beam in the last screen looks like the one between the Rakata-Planet and the Starforge in KotOR I. Is this meant to be like that ?

@ Topic: I don't think the buildings should be reskinned: Science-Fiction lives from things that can't be (like clean buildings in a dirty area) and maps live from their contrasts (contrast lava-platform on mustafar for example, contrast Plains - ruins on the naboo plains map etc.) So you need contrast to have people remembering your map.

The "beam" is actually lightning. It isn't a permanent sky object.

I don`t think ,that the Award Weapon Glitch is a Problem in your Map,Dart_Maul.I played some other Maps from Astute and from Conversion Pack1.8 0 and I have this Problem at every Map.I think.
I go to reinstall BF2 and try it out.

Edit:
I found my Problem.But i dont know if it is even a Problem.
If I play with my Main Profil (General) I have the Award Weapon Glitch.1st Weapon has Rapidefire, then I switch to the Pistol than back to 1st.Then the Blasterrifle has not Rapidefire but therefore 3 Rapide Shots.
If I create a new Profil (Private) I don'`t have this Problem.Everything is fine.
Hope you can say me,that this is normal.

You should add a `Airfight` and on the right Side of the Temple a Bridge which combines the Temple with the Roof of the last Building.
Add One CP more right from the Temple near the last Building because when i capture the Temple CP and go left,jump on the Top of the next Building,there are no Enemy´s and i cant ambush the CP in Front of the Temple very fast.

-Add more Reinforcments



Did you made a new Beta with your changes? Because i want to play your Map without that Lightning Error.

I found out that i can win the Map very fast if i infiltrate the City and the Temple from the left Bridge.

What you're describing, Alex Secura, is the common effect of having to change weapons to unlock award weapons. When you spawn, you always have the standard weapon ready, so you'll have to switch to pistol/cutter to replace the ordinary "rapidfire" blaster rifle with the award burstfire one.

The way awards work is as follows:
There's one award per weapon that you achieve through a certain feat (12 kills with rifle, 6 with pistol, 4 critical hits with a rocket, etc.) and other awards for other feats (slice a vehicle, score 32 points in a life, etc.). When you get these awards (you're describing the award rifle) 64 times, the award becomes permanent on that profile - meaning every time you spawn, you have that award.

As it concerns your question: No, it will not change back to singlefire at a "higher rank." No, you cannot change back to the singlefire once you've equipped the burstfire. However, the award rifle (and every award weapon) is definitely stronger, and you may change your mind about whether you like it after a while. But if you're definitely set on playing with a character that doesn't have the award, then just use a different profile.
