Ah, Guild Wars. I picked the original about a year ago. Very fun and addicting. So I'm guessing if you've been looking on the website you know about the classes but if you don't you chose both a primary and secondary class out of the options. Your primary class sets your look and gives you that's class' "special attribute" as well as the class' skills ( or attacks). The secondary just gives you that classes skills and attacks and the other attriibutes. Now with how many classes there are this leads to many possibilities of a character to make to fit the way you want to play the game which is cool. Also you probably know that you can bring eight skills to attack with. With almost a hundred skills for each class then the combinations from you primary and secondary class leads to almost endless sets up for your character to play as. Its really fun just to try out new setup of skills to see what works.
Now the story mode for the original (I don't own the other two so I don't know as much about them.) is very fun. And the PvP content I really like. You can simply just hop into a random 4 vs. 4 match or take time to set out a team. Now the whole guild part I haven't gotten into much personally but you join with a bunch of other people to play more larger scale battles aginist other guilds which is pretty fun. Each person in the guild gets the same cape for their character to wear is a cool little feature. Its even funner when you actually play with people you know because it will take less time to set up a group.
Yeah I stopped playing it a while ago when I decided I wanted to start looking into SWBF2 modding but I'll probaly pick it back up eventually. So yeah if you need to know anything else just ask...

long story short : if you have nothing better to do its great. In my opinion , classes are all the same, combat is button mashy at best, movement of player and Ai is almost robotic and airheaded. Sometimes enemy monsters will kill you from behind a rock miles away while your ai and players characters will spent 30 seconds negotiating a path to walk to the enemy. If the combat and hording of items in the game isnt enough to snore you to sleep...most the cities are filled with naked players who simply chat and /dance all day long with nothing more then potty mouths to offer as conversation. At best this game is a pretty chatroom with boring quests and reply value is about invisible. a great find for people in iceland who never leave there homes or anyone under the age of 13 that pretty much hasnt seen the other 500 better games offered in the world- ANY other rpg/mmo would be better spent money.

Best. Review. Ever.
Is it on the scale of Runescape?
