But, i was wondering, do you think we can make the ranks less military? i don't know, I've never been a big fan of the military (not to diss those serving), and this site seems more likely to have goofy ranks. I'd rather be "Smuggler Captain" than "1st Lieutenant."

Any one else think so?

THX 1138 was george lucas' first movie, the THX audio company, whose logo you used, was founded years later and its name is probably inspired by the movie

um, I already made icons and I redid the rank system already, so it would be a good idea to either pm them to me, or perhaps even to guru, because this is not how the icon thing was supposed to work. I just want to let you know instead of letting you find out later. They are nice however, but they don't fit into the new ranking thing. Once Guru puts them up, there are a few more that need to be made.

I like these rank icons. I'm one of those people who likes to have game stats, and ranks. I think it's from years of levelling up in Battlefield 2. I know, I have no life

I don't know about everybody else, but I personally think the current pile-of-crap icon for the Third Warning "rank" works just fine.

I don't get why a person with a Third (and last) Warning should get a "cool-looking" icon anyways. That's why I think the poo icon should stay.

lol I remember a thread a couple years ago which lead to 2nd warning (and I think maybe 1st) being changed from poo to what they are now because of complaints about the unpleasantness of the icon

1st is nothing, right? and 2nd is that annoying chicken. I really hate it, the waving hand is distracting.

And DUCK, I know it has nothing to do with the 1138, but its THX 1138, and thats THX. I hope everyone here would get it anyway. What would you use? A plaintext 1138? No, I think this is a lot more visually interesting.
