Well, I don't know how much any of you guys know about Xfire, but I have a strange problem. I wanted it to launch version 1.1 of SWBF2, so I went to C:/Program Files/Xfire/xfire_games, searched for Battlefront II, went to the "LauncherExe=" line, and replaced BattlefrontII.exe (the launcher for version 1.0) with BattlefrontII_v11.exe (the launcher for version 1.1).

It works, but every time I exit out of Xfire, it resets to "LauncherExe=BattlefrontII.exe." Does anyone have any idea why Xfire is disregarding my changes? It's very annoying since the only way I can get Xfire In-Game is by launching version 1.1 through Xfire.

Any help is appreciated .

I don't know why it overwrites the file, but I do know two different things you can try.

1) Change the file to read-only. This may stop XFire from replacing it.
2) Rename your BattlefrontII_v11.exe to BattlefrontII.exe

I'll try the first one, but for the second one, I've actually tried doing that, but it tells me that it already exists, so I can't change it without deleting v1.0. And if I try renaming BattlefrontII.exe to something else, it doesn't let me (not sure why). But I'll try your first suggestion, thanks.

...so rename the 1.0 exe. I'm not sure why this is an issue at all; I understand some people like to use 1.0 but it holds no real benefit except for smaller servers and more bugs with a little "less-compatibility" frosting.

Well, a lot of my friends still play 1.0 (and an equal amount play 1.1). But saving it as read-only seems to have worked, so thanks for the help.
