Turning on and off addon mshs?

i was wondering if you could turn a addon mesh (specifically a disguise aka this

i was thinking that you could have it work like a stealth field works, where you press a button and the addon appears, then if you want to remove the addon again you go back to the disguise weapon and press it again, un activating the disguise.

would it work?

maybe, if there was a lua command to remove addon meshes. Ask Zerted or someone like that - they'd probrably know

A jetpack turns off the addon mesh, maybe you could make a jetpack without effect and actual jetting..

Penguin/Aman, In his Tattoine: Tusken Camp map, made it so when you destroyed a specific object, the units had addon mshs on them. so you probably could do that, but with a weapon, but you'll have to ask him.
