Large scale Geonosis map idea

For any of you who have watched AOTC a million times ( i know i have ) then im sure you recall the coolest battle in all of SW movie history. THE BATTLE OF GEONOSIS. Many attempts have been made at recreating this battle but i have seen none that are satifactory. So heres my idea. First the terrrain needs to be completely flat like in the movie. Second each side needs to have the right amount of vehicles say 30 hailfires and spiderwalkers for the CIS and 10 AT-TEs and 10 gunships for the Republic. Third as many men on the battlefield at one time as possible. I have seen a map with 100 out a one time on each side but i was thinking 1000 on each side not reinforcements but on the battlefield just like the movie. Fourth CIS main cmd post would be the citadel and 2 or 3 techno union ships and the republics would be that command ship thats in the original geonosis map. At both of these is where the vehicles would spawn. Each side would have one near the center of the map so infantry wont have to walk to far. So that is my idea. Could anyone make this? Or would it have to much lag?

i was waiting for a topic like this to appear... well, good ideas, but think about 1000 guys on battlefield on both sides! that would make... wait, one, two...TWO THOUSAND SOLDIERS!! that would lag even on a good comp :?
try to scale things down and your cool ;)

Sounds great, but two things come to mind:

Lag and bugs...

Aside from those two factors, it'd be awesome! Maybe it could be made...I donno...

10 attes, 10 gunships, and all those CIS vehicles would crash the game. SWBF can't take so much Walkers at one time. I was just trying out a Geonosis map before I stopped on it.

It had 4 ATTE's vs 6 Spider Droids, and Infantry 2000 Reinforcements each. The maximum amount that i could get onto the field without causing any weird problems (enemies not shooting at you, etc) was only 120 CIS vs 80 Clones.

Maybe you could just make the battlefield small to have the illusion of a lot of bots

I think you guys are misinterpreting me. Im no modder i just thought that if I got this topic out in the open someone might make it. I do plan however on learning how to mod Battlefront over the summer. Does anyone know of any good sites to teach beginners how to mod BF?

It was. Sometimes missiles were invisible. Even some of the laser bolts were missing too.

There was a Geonosis map by Challenger that I thought came really close to the movie, however it had a few of the problems that Face mentioned.

but it was the greatest battle ever made for swbf. it was pretty awesome map on singleplayer. in multiplayer it felt little too "empty"

That would definatly be laggy but heres some ideas. You could make a genosin(SP) to be a playable character like a repairman. And make a local side to be made of jedi. Just like the movie. Just some thoughts.

Plz make this mod better for SP then the large hoth level was! It sucked when you played with bots cause they just got lost and you almos never encountered anybody.

I was doing this before, with Jedis as the locals. The quality wasn't as great as i hoped it would be, so i cancelled it.

btw, BUMP. I just wanted to get a message across every single modder in this community. STOP TRYING TO RE-MAKE GEONOSIS.

There's tons of Geonosis maps out there already. And no offence, none of them are close to the movie. Did u guys even watch the movie? SWBF doesn't even have the capabilities to do a battle that huge.

So, STOP TRYING.
