Excellent looking map, finally, a new idea :P

I love that sky by the way, gives you the feeling of a very weak atmosphere, which most moons have.

I agree about the sky, it's great.

Seeing seldom used vehicles like the AT-XT and hover...thingy (I've seen it before, but have no clue what it's called) is always nice too. :D

Wow! Great looking map! I'm very impressed. :D

It seems it will be a little bit plain in terms of game play. It appears you are just running through an endless plane. Do you have anything to spiff it up? :|

according to Wookieepedia, Thule has only one moon: Sivvi
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sivvi

it is a captured asteroid it says

From wookiepedia:
...Sivvi was often referred to simply the Thule Moon...
...Appearances
* Star Wars: The Clone Wars (video game)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is what I'm basing it off of, since I have the game, and it first appeared there. Did you know Pandemic made Star Wars: The Clone Wars? Using the Zero Engine too. I wonder if there are source files around, probably not, since it wasn't for PC.

Yep it's kind of bare, but it's an asteroid, so I don't know what else to put in it, except maybe some re-textured geonosis rock formations. I'm thinking about replacing the droid factory with a shield generator complex, using mygeeto models, or perhaps the shield generator from the capitol ships, since it's kind of lame (and too far away).
Here's the basic layout so far, it's not completely flat:

There's a humongous tank battle at the landing site, it's pretty fun. That tank was a GAT - Ground Armored Tank or something like that.
I've had problems with the tanks, either the AI don't enter them right away, or they don't leave them to capture a command post. I've tried some tricks, and it seems to help a little. Also, a lot the republic troops go to the droid factory instead of the landing site, so I had to add more troops to compensate.

Hmm, whatever you make, I would reccomend making it a small underground indoor facility. That could add a little zest. Also maybe make the terrain no like rolling plains but maybe so that there are more rocks, etc. So you have more terrain variation and what not.

And I wasn't aware that game used the Zero Engine :?

I say add more to the droid factory, make it bigger and more important looking, using stuff from My-ghetto and Hoth. Plus add craters and some rocks and debris to the field, from meteor impacts, crashed star ships, etc. Makes the battlefield look less plain.

Great terrain texturing though. Very well done and doesnt look repetitive and/or messy. Plus the sky fits perfectly and the use of the GAT, and ATXT is a definate plus.

On my download list for sure.

Use barriers to direct them to the Factory, they head to the LZ because its closer and to them its a more important CP area.

Great looking map, i'm also into Pandemics Clone Wars video game, the single player campaign was great, I still play it.
There are some Clone Wars game assets floating around here that were used in that game, the GAT that you have in the third pic you posted is an asset straight from that game, psych0fred's SPHAT, AT-XT, and Republic Shuttle are from that game as well as the Cydon Prax tank in the Conversion Pack, the CIS hangar in the Naboo Prototype map in the Conversion Pack is also another Clone Wars asset, and I believe Tean also has a few buildings from the Raxus Prime level that came from that game.
I would love to get all of the Clone Wars assets and recreate most of those maps for BF2.

Yep it uses the zero engine, is that bad? It's funny too, because it looks like Pandemic kept some of the same assets when making battlefront. How did they get those assets??? Someone must have had ties with Pandemic... I wondered why the raxus prime level looked nearly identical to the clone wars one.

Crashed ships would be a nice addition. I only have one crater (that big black thing by the outpost). I put a few geonosis rocks around, I guess I'll put a lot more in, to make it look rugged.
I think the shield generator complex is supposed to be somewhat underground, and somewhat indoors. It depends, because I want to use existing models, or else I'm going to have to learn how to run XSI, download the trial version etc etc. That's really a lot of work. I wish I could crack the .msh code, then I could write my own .msh exporter for Gmax.

I'll implement these suggestions as best as I can. Still open for any more, however.

hope you put the hp_fire in the right places for the GAT. it wasnt for the Gat in the Convesion pack(it came from the middle of the tank instead of the cannons) and is to be removed, hope you can do it

May I reccomend Squipples models? He has a good number of assets for the map your making that would fit right into the enviroment without ruining the map. Check it out. :)

awesome, and I'm not just talking about the sky.

to make it less empty, you could add metal debris or crashed ships, especially around the droid factory.
