Blown away!
Think it might be a good thing it may not be modable, thinking it would be very hard to match that and as for new animations
Notice the ATST leaving foot prints in the snow, or in the co-op video a trooper get hit in the jet pack and goes spinning off

I really don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but I can't help but feel sad at having to remind myself that this game will launch with only four planets and without much of the content and features that made the original Battlefronts what they are. Those are some beautiful graphics, but knowing that they will only render a small fraction of the dozens of locations that the Star Wars universe has to offer feels pretty underwhelming...
I do look forward to this game though, but not as much as I could...

I don't care how many planets there are at launch. >12 total maps (including SP) sounds like enough for me, and the maps sound pretty varied.
Me on SWBFGamers wrote:Hoth's locations will include Snow Plains, Ice Caves and Inside Echo Base.

Of course the trailer is heavily staged. However, based on clues and context from the video I can tell that the way Walker Asssault is laid out on this particular map makes it very similar to Rush from Battlefield. The maps are designed to funnel players into tight areas and sections, giving the illusion of a large scale battle by keeping everybody in a tight space.
I personally think this is the way to go. I am not a big fan of gigantic open spaces where the action boils down to a few select areas of a map, and most of the map is a wasteland where you are just waiting to be sniped.

I noticed in the trailer the rebels had soldiers of different races, do you guys think that being a different alien race could be an option where they each have their own bonuses or do you think that's souly a cosmetic change? Either way the trailer looks phenomenal!!!

I agree the regenerating health makes it seem too much like other shooters. Im gonna miss scrambling for the health tanks or begging engineers to drop them

According to this article, single player and co-op have three modes: Survival, Trial and Battle. From what we know so far, those modes could be described as follows:
-Survival - This is the mode we saw in the co-op video. It sees you (solo or with a friend) team up to take on waves of enemies.
-Trial - This mode is the promised "moments based on the films" mode. In essence it sounds like a broken-down campaign.
-Battle - Nothing has really been revealed yet about this mode aside from the inclusion of AI enemies and allies. It sounds a lot like Instant Action.

Yes I actually heard that Battle will incorporate AI, so whether that means we will actually be getting a new "Instant Action-ish" gamemode is a possibility.

To me it sounds like "mission mode" is the new Battlefront's equivalent of the former's Instant Action mode. After all, IA wasn't
only conquest.

I mean, that's one way to look at it, but it's really not. In Pandemic's Battlefront games, Instant Action was a way to play the multiplayer modes in singleplayer with bots instead of other people. Same maps, same gametypes. In DICE's Battlefront, Missions are completely different singleplayer/co-op modes from the multiplayer modes, even having their own maps that aren't present in multiplayer. Which is why people are REALLY hoping Battles are more akin to the Instant Action/Conquest we're used to. Because while a horde/wave/survival mode with a friend is fun, sometimes we just want to play some classic Battlefront without having to play with 40 people.

I really don't see why DICE wouldn't include an "instant action" game mode, they have AI working well and they can use the same maps from the multiplayer for the singleplayer modes.

Less money for them, unless you're online, you don't need a private server to get rid of Random Randy Foulmouthed, loud, screechy, 13-year olds who can only play with one hand on the controller at at time (Lets not go into where the other one is, joystick is all I'm saying), who know less about making tea than Americans, atleast they put the RIGHT Teabags in water, even if it was salt water.
I swear this is going to be aweful, but as a Total War gamer, I'm okay with aweful, question is, are we called bob, and can we fix it?

I just skimmed through the thread, and from what I hear there's a possibility of an instant-action-type thing? And confirmed 3rd person? Okay, now I'm excited. That trailer looked awesome. Now all I need is to be able to drive an AT-AT and I'm set.

Battles and Hero battles sound very much like instant action to me. Would be a shame if online modes like Walker Assault won't be available for singleplayer/co-op. Definitely not something that would keep me from buying this game though. It looks incredible. I will miss space battles, but as someone who grew up with the n64 Rogue Squadron game, in-atmosphere dogfights while troops are battling on the ground will be awesome. In that aspect it will be just like the first battlefront, but better!
also, this new interpretation of sullust has me like

I can't wait, and will be buying a PS4 for this. (..and probably for GTA5 as well...)
Did anybody notice the new helmets the rebel troopers were wearing in the Co-op survival gameplay? pretty awesome imo, gave them a special forces look.
