i was just messing around working on an "online compatable" mod for a server i have. i have changed all rocket based weapons to have lock on (which they did already) and rockets that have a turn rate of 2 instead of the usual zero. it worked fine with the hand held rocket launcher from the rocketeer (probably because the average turn rate is 2 for it) but for weapons like the bull caster i changed the turn rate from 0.15 to 2.0 and it just goes straight but then the target you locked onto gets hit by an invisable missile and the one that shows up does no damage. i had a problem like this before with the hailfire and alliance tank rockets when i took out waver.
also only the ai can use the extra lock ons that i added in like bulldog locking on to tanks and rocket launchers locking on to people, when a person tries to use it it just doesn't let them lock on.
i think the reason the visual problem is there is because only the server (dedicated) has the mod and not the people joining. i guess if the person got the mod then they would be able to use the extras that i added in.
i'm just wondering is there a way to have it show up right on others screens without them having the mod or will i just have to released the new and improved version for people to download for an advantage. hmm it seems that it would help me get more downloads if they get advantages on the server for downloading...
