I probably jumped to conclusions too -- I didn't have any problems with TFU1, so I tend to defend it.

That also may not be the best idea, considering the first PC version was a crappy port.

^ This.

It honestly seemed like they did no adjustments for PC at all and the only reasonable way to play was to plug in a Xbox controller. Don't get me wrong, I loved the console version but the one for PC was just awful.

Well, I'm not getting it for the Wii again, and I don't have any other consoles, so I haven't much choice. I'm also hoping that this will have a more legit PC version, considering it's being made right off the bat along with the other versions of the game, as opposed to TFU1, which was made way after the original release. I'll wait for the reviews to come in, then decide.

You guys are also USED to the console version. TFU on the PC was fine for me. I'm not used to having a controller in my hands, so I can get used to pretty much ANY keyboard configuration, controls were fine. Plus, you're used to the Highest Definition Xbox graphics, when PC gamers sometimes have to settle for second best due to our build limitations. I can appreciate a good game with decent graphic settings. For being the only option I could play FULL TFU game (Wii's is cut and simplified), the PC port did its job and did it pretty well.

Plus, this is Activision we're talking about. TFU2 should be fine on the PC.

?
The Wii version of the game had more in it than the Xbox/PS3 versions did. Graphically it was simplified, but as far as content goes, there was more there.

I disagree, having owned and beaten both the PS3 and Wii versions of the game, I got much more out of the PS3 storyline than I did the Wii storyline. The Wii story provided almost no challenge for me, even on the hardest difficulties, and the gameplay seemed bland and uninteresting. The PS3 version on the other hand offered a variety of challenges, (such as Felucia) and gave me the opportunity to die several times. The achievements also add a very fun challenge to the game, and the extra costumes and other little extra features make the game so much more interesting in my opinion. Yes, the Wii version has different levels, and a bit of a different storyline in places, and there are some levels which I enjoy more on the Wii than I did on the PS3, (I.E. the Jedi Temple bits), but overall I prefer the PS3 version for more gameplay, challenge, and creative content.

QFT. I never had a problem with TFU1 and so I'm most likely gonna get the second one after Reach of course.

What they're talking about is that the PC version was basically a straight port of the console version, which doesn't allow for the customized scaling of graphical quality that a PC gamer would expect. On that I can agree with them. I like being able to change not just my resolution, but the anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, shadow quality, FOV, maximum framerate, vertical sync, etc. Incidentally, that does help in allowing the lower spec people to play, and to do so by balancing the settings as they like as opposed to only turning down the resolution, which can look uglier than doing something like tweaking the field of vision or level of AA. As an example, I actually like to turn my graphical quality down slightly in multiplayer (in games that have MP) to achieve a smoother framerate, but I prefer to do this, in the case of SWBF2, by doing things like lowering the shadow quality and turning off bloom. I don't like it when a game doesn't allow for that, and it appears that I'm not the only one. :P It has nothing to do with having a low end build, as my two year old system is just now falling barely below the requirements for new games, and that's primarily because my bottleneck is a CPU with a 2Mb L2 cache, though I have it clocked at 3.15 GHz. It's about having the option to alter things to our own tastes or system specs, whichever the case may be. This is the only real gripe I have with TFU1, aside from having to figure out for myself that the mouse needs to be moved slowly while trying to pull down the ISD.

That said, if they're developing the PC version of TFU2 separately in parallel to the console versions, then there's a good chance we'll get our options.

Which is great that you liked it more, but that doesn't have any relation to what I said. There is more content in the Wii version (three extra levels and a multiplayer mode) than in the other versions. My dispute is with the statement that the Wii version was "cut," which it was not.

In any case, this is not on-topic. Please stay on topic, everyone (including myself).

I just hope they announce a VS mode for the 360/PS3 version. It's a small thing, but definitely enough to change from a rent to a buy, or a buy to a preorder, especially if they get my favorite characters as VS characters, and if you get more DLC characters. There hasn't been good Star Wars VS since the Revenge of the Sith game (which was awesome).

I can agree to that. EpIII vs was lots of fun.

Haha, I was playing VS mode on Revenge of the Sith just the other day on my original Xbox. Great aspect of the game so I hope they implement it into TFU2.

Okay, I can see two things wrong with this statement.
1: Activision isn't publishing TFU2.
2: What I underlined, you might want to remember this:

Just thought I might wanna point that out
@Tean: Agreed, I'd gladly pay more attention to this if there were an Xbox/PS3 duel mode.

Yeah, I'm telling ya a Duel mode that lets you use DLC characters (and use them as skins in single-player) would own. It doesn't have to be Super Street Fighter IV-robust, just RotS-ish. Just implement what single player does in MP and we'll be good, especially if the new targeting system has a lock-on mode.

Haha, I strongly feel they won't include a lock-on mode in MP (if they made MP).

Some of the visuals in the TFU2 video look a little rough around the edges, but I'm sure they'll be improved upon by release. My only concern with it is the sheer number of times large enemies are killed by being force crushed into a ball. We've seen that enough in the first game, so I hope there are a few more options for killing walkers and TIE fighters.

I'm not a huge fan of gore and dismemberment in games, but if they're including dismemberment in TFU2 I wish they would have incorporated DMI for it. It didn't look like the dismemberment had any relation to where the lightsabers hit the enemies. I imagine it would be pretty difficult to sync all the different physics systems with dynamic entities such as enemies, but even in the Jedi Knight games you could be reasonably sure that if you hit a stormtrooper's hand, his hand would fall off, if you hit his legs, his legs would fall off, and so on.

I second that. The VS mode in RotS was awesome even though I always kept on owning my friends cuz they had no lightsaber experience or the ones that did never played the game before so I took the advantage and won pretty much every round. My best character was Cin Drallig because of his lightning-fast moves.
