Thanks! I love orange. Nice building btw, I bet it'll look good with a nice gray-ish texture.

Very nice! Maybe its just me but it looks like you have way too many polys on your ladders and the walls.
This is the progress on my mixed use building so far. Its starting to take shape but I'm struggling to give it some kind of character.

Before you get too in-depth (and not just you, I see several trying to use SketchUp), have you tried bringing this (even an untextured early version) into the game at all? I don't know that I've seen a single SketchUp building brought into the game - despite all the "we can do this" topics - and not to say that it can't be done, but it might be good to gauge the workload you'll have doing that.
It also helps to realize your model by walking around in it, even if it's not finished. That's a great way to find out where you need detail and where it can be omitted.

I don't know why exactly, but I really like it. Maybe it's the simplicity in contrast with most other buildings. Looks nice.

I know I helped mswf test a model he made in sketchup that he exported to msh a while ago. It worked fine ingame (minus the fact that the building was about waist high). If there's any issues, it would be in the Sketchup --> XSI step.
[Edit]
Here's a picture ingame. I'd say I need to scale it up by about 1/3 and there's obviously some issues with the polygons facing the wrong way.

That's due to the strange blue faces in sketchup. right click and select 'reverse faces' and it should go a nice white, fixing that problem.
And on the sketchup=>ingame thing, I can get sketchup models into XSI (minus the textures) but since I have never really used XSI, I don't know where to go from there.
EDIT: update on my lot

Here is some wet and wild fun for you. Doesn't do any damage but it is fun.

Yeah, that happened when I first tried to convert my DMI building and put it in a test map. And it didn't have textures (which always happens when I try to convert Sketchup to VRML for the Msh Viewer.
Sweet buggy, Frag!
BTW, blue in Sketchup in always invisible in Msh (and other 3D model languages, wonder why that is

). Wait a sec...

Are you sure about that? I always thought that the purple was the outside

I guess I can just export it with the faces reverted. Btw, you're building is simple but its coming out very nice
@Frag, that is pretty cool. I like the idea of non-lethal weapons in the city.

Very nice looking building, but I have to tell you when I quickly scrolled by it it reminded me of the side of a toaster.
@train very nice looking Demporium too. Hope you get your export thing solved with it.
@ General_Nate thanks for the compliment but my modding skills aren't really much more than playing around, crashing, playing around somemore. The water cannon really is only the fatray weapon ord using a very slightly modified flame thrower effect.
