Way better than the original in every way. Compared to allot of your earlier stuff, you've come far along in 3D creation.
Would love to see the texture flats, particularly the normal map.

It's multiple sets of diffuse maps, but some are just maps for the greebles of the undercarriage of the model. The main map uses these (these are downrezzed):
I know the normal map looks odd, but FSX takes an odd normal map (it's inverted and it has a heavy emphasis on the blue channel).

Currently making a Gauss cannon, and i just finished the top part.
Oh, the cannon is a bit bigger than the original, i have to fix that.
Time to make the crane thing.
forget about seeing this on the BF2 engine

If you're using those as high resolution inputs to make normal maps from there are some 90 deg edges that need to be fixed as a proper normal map wont be generated with 90+ deg edges.

I am not planning to make maps or get it ingame, i just want to model my favourite halo weapons.

Nice bamboo tree, how about making a high poly of the bamboo tree and back the details on the low poly ?
