Maybe we need to do something similar to what was done in the model showcase topic where you are required to show a wireframe of your model as well as the model itself, in this case it would be a picture of the texture (if it is only shown on a model) that was used, you can watermark it of course to make sure no one else uses it.
It may sound petty but this site has had incidences in the past were people use other peoples work and claim it as their own (not disclosing it also as bad).
I will leave it up to an admin to decide if the rules need to be changed for this topic.
But in the mean time please keep creating, a lot of these skins are truely wonderful and it is a great showcase for your talents.
From the previous Showcase topic, just because it is a new one doesn't mean we can forget what was written in the old one.

Thats what i am asking... wel not exactly, just asked about crediting the guy who made the ref pic... but i always say: credits: blablabla, because i can get in trouble.

yes, and as long as all the modifications you make are yours, you don't have to give credit.
EDIT: Yes Frag, but that's not what we are talking about. Nobody goes around re-UVing models to use someone else's skin, that's just stupid. Editing a texture that has already been made and posting it here is precisely what this topic is for, nobody's gonna go make a completely new texture for the clone trooper, and we all know who made the original skins.

reference pic no need credit, and in WIP and showing skin eighter need put credits, only in release with the model because if you release the skin only either need credits

Listen to FragMe! (it is also mentioned in the first post of this topic). It is assumed that any unit texture of a stock model is going to use Pandemic's work. They are the only people that should not have to be mentioned every time you post a skin. If you're using someone else's model/texture that is not Pandemic's or yours, you should post who it is. Labj was right to do what he did.
