Merging Files Error

I have the demo XSI 6.0
Whenever I try to merge two exp files, I get this error:
Code: Select all
Unable to create object [CLSID\{445B7B7A-71A8-5AC5-9988-DFDCE1A4D4A0}], Cleanup will be performed.
What can I do to get around this error and merge the files?

Are you trying to merge files or the meshes of two different files.
If you are trying to make the contents of two different files into one then the easiest was is to export one of the files as a model. Open the other one then import the previously exported model the select the bits you want to merge.
Hope that is what you meant.

Yeah I did the export --> import thing. Thanks frag, I didn't know that importing for merging worked in XSI
