Tell me when you have created the region.
FALSE. It
MUST be
IN the Control Region in order to be affected by it, and you can have Control Regions over the CP
AND over the Capture Region. All of my maps are that way.
What the Control Region does is eliminate vehicle decay -- That is to say that if a vehicle is abandoned in the middle of a battlefield it will start to 'die' on it's own, even if nobody is shooting it, unless someone is using it. That way it'll eventually explode and respawn at the CP. The Control Region is only used to keep a vehicle from deteriorating. Basically any vehicle inside it won't 'die' or 'get hurt' naturally, meaning that if you get in a vehicle inside the control region it's still 100% perfect, whereas out on the battlefield it will be worn out by the game, even if nobody attacked it.

Really? My vehicles would never spawn unless they were outside of the control zone, and I do have experience with vehicles.

Read my edited post above. Control Regions are only used for one thing.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I'd never heard that before. But anyway, my vehicles would never spawn if I placed the arrow-thing inside my control zone.
I'm just going off my own experience here. I found that the vehicles wouldn't spawn if the control zone was over the command post.
Maybe I need to try vehicles again. I haven't worked with them for a while.

As you can infer from Tean's post above, control regions are fairly unnecessary. The getting started doc teaches you how to use them, but you certainly do not need them.

I always thought the control zones were for spawning the vehicles.....
I'll have to remember that.

It would take too much text to explain the rest here. Download my tutorial and read the section on vehicles. You need to type the vehicle class in the vehicle spawn, plus some other things. Here is the link:

Please give it a go. It should work for you.

Actually, Filefront is being worked on, so it can't find the file. You'll have to download it from the other site, unless you want to wait to download until Saturday (when filefront should be working).

Okay, you can download the file now. It is here:

Be patient with the page - it might take a long time for the download sign to appear.
