I will have a staff member lock this thread if I have too. This is ridiculous. I am too busy working in the mod to even take screenshots and post them. Does this mean I wont post those 40 pics. no, I still plan to.
If you guys want an "update", the closest your going to get is the date of the beta, and the date of the release.
Alpha beta Test-----April 20
Alpha Release-------April 27
Yeah. Do what ya have to, Wulf. Behind ya 110%.
I'm thinking as well that requesting to locking this thread would probably be best if you wish not to be rushed. I agree that it is ridiculous. Some people need to realize that great works take time. And that project developers like you and I (albeit, I'm kind of on hold at the moment for the mod I'm working on due to a computer issue) have real lives to tend to and are not always working on the mod, or we're working so much that we don't want to stop just to take a few screens (definitely understandable). And it seems a 'It will be done when it's done' thing tends to not work all the time for a crowd anxious for popular works such as this.
I hope what I said did not offend anyone or seem like attacking any people in particular at all here, or to sound like backseat moderating, I just merely wanted to share my thoughts on the matter.
This mod, in my sincerest opinion, is going to be one of the best mods out there, and will definitely be among the list of the mods I'm keeping.

Take all the time you require on this project, Wulf. Don't let anyone get to you or rush you. Work on your own time. Do what you feel like you need/want to do and my support will always remain.

You could always give a copy of the mod in it's current state to somebody you trust enough (maybe Revan there?) and ask them to take the screenshots. That way, you don't have to take time off working on this to take screenshots, and the baying crowd gets those screenshots.

He is, but it's not him alone working for it.

modmaster13 wrote:Hey are you still planning on doing the Orto Plutonia map? It would be awesome!
I am. but, I dont think it will make it into the 1.0 alpha. I will do the map at least for the first exspansion pack.
It would be nice to include a new land map(this) and a new space map. Dont make
ANY suggestions on the space map untill I anounce the map

Hi guys. There have been a lot of off-topic posts in this thread, as there always are when threads get long. Just for your edification, there are two types of posts that are not helpful to either the staff or the topic creator at this juncture:
1) Posts that continue to drive the topic off its rails (i.e. off-topic/tangential posts)
2) White-knight, non-staff "defenders of the topic" making meta-commentary "hey guys let's be nice and stop going off-topic" posts.
We have a rule against junior moderation, and the rule is there because when one non-staff member starts saying something like "please stay on topic" or "that's enough guys," etc., etc., it just encourages others to pile on and agree with the same comment. Posts made to the effect of "yeah, agreed" or "QFT" or just simple requotes of another post are worse than spam, because they don't even add anything new.
If you see a problem, PM a staff member or use the "report post" button. If you're concerned about whether your post is one of the two types listed above, ask yourself:
-Does my post further the thread discussion?
-Does my post help out the thread's creator?
-Does my post not break any rules?
If you can answer "yes" to all three, feel free to press the "post" button. Otherwise, take note to yourself and simply move on - you don't need to post every thought that runs through your head. Have a nice day, now.

I assume this secret is the force-pushable object-units. Are these going to be in the mod, or are they too much trouble and add too little to actual gameplay?

Correct. Not much of a secret. I havent decided if its worth the trouble or not yet.

It isn't. You can move them around and that's it. No interaction apart from that.

Time for a new keyboard then methinks.

In my opinion, the force pushable crates aren't really worth the trouble. They are REALLY neat, I'll say that, but I'd see that more as a map/side thing to just fool around in and not really play seriously. Maybe can put in a tiny bonus map for that? Just my opinion. I hope it doesn't discourage you and your team or anything. Just I think I'm gonna be more concentrating on blowing up Battledroids than sitting there all day in Mos Eisley bullying crates around with the force. I hope this doesn't sound mean or anything, just an honest opinion for benefit of the mod. If you see that as a helpful thought.

About the keyboard: It might be annoying, but you could try getting an external keyboard with a USB, depending on how many USB ports you have or also depends on how many slots are free.
And if I added to Lago's comment about it being worth it or not, of course I meant it in the manner that it's up to you and your team, but just wanted to share my thoughts on that. Hope it was helpful for the mod, if not, I apologize.
