It's funny, you know. I didn't hardly know Paul at all, I didn't even watch the movies. But I still can't help but to feel sad about his passing, like it shouldn't have been. Yet people die every day, some multitudes at a time and we hardly flinch. There's just something about a celebrity death. Especially if they truly are nice people.

RIP, man. You left a fast and furious legacy behind you.

I didn't care for him as an actor, but I liked him as a person. I remember one story that showed the kind of guy he was.

This was around 2003, and he was in a jewelry store. He saw a soldier there with his fiance looking at wedding rings. The soldier had just come back from Iraq and was going to be shipped out again soon and wanted to buy a ring, but couldn't afford it on his salary.

Walker went over to the manager and told him to put the girl's ring on his tab. That kind of generosity is the kind of thing I'd love to be known for, helping random people that you don't know.

When he died, he was being driven to a charity event.

Rest in peace Paul, you will be missed.

RIP Paul Walker, though I never really knew much about him nor have I seen his movements, from what I heard he was a good person.
RIP the victims of the Pearl Harbor attacks, which in two days would have happened 72 years ago , as well as everyone who died in World War II.
RIP to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings, who's anniversary is coming up in just over a week.
You will all be missed.

Because spreading hate for him to condemn how he spread his hate for others isn't hypocritical at all.

The man didn't care about who hated him or who liked him. He was always in it for the money, regardless of what his church said. The point of it was to get people angry with his members and assault them, allowing him to then legally take money from the populace. He was a horrible person. He organized the picketing of funerals for children and soldiers all because he wanted a quick buck. So no, hating him in death is not stooping to his level. There's a huge difference from picketing the death of a soldier because the army allowed homosexuals to enter and knowing that act would get you punched in the face repeatedly to then acquire money, and hating a leech you just pulled off of your arm and then squished.

The world and humanity itself just got a lot better because of his passing.

It's not near equal, but it's still hypocritical. If you go to a prison and chastise a man for grand theft, then commit petty theft on the way home, the crimes aren't equal, but you'd still be a hypocrite.

This is what I'm focused on, though:

Because you're exactly right. And by celebrating his death, by calling him out on being the scum of the Earth, you're still playing exactly into his plan. That the WBC be immortalized and forever remembered. It doesn't matter to them that they're hated, just that they're known.

That's why I don't like hypocritical responses to his death like this. That's why I wish he could've died peacefully and without the media making a big deal out of it. I wish people would be completely apathetic about both his life and his death, that he be written off as just another random and nameless lunatic, so that he, and his message, are forgotten by history and lost to time forever.
