Yea xwingguy u dont have to listen to the movie-nit-pickers who whine about every detail that is a discrepancy from the movies
after all isnt the point to make a fun level? who really cares if it looks like the movies, the directors of the Star Wars films certainly didnt look at their movies and say "this wouldnt be fun concept for a videogame, so we need to change the movie", not all the things included in the films are neccesarily good concepts for video games. why should you have to cross examine YOUR level and change it to fit the whims of those who are more concerned with realism than gameplay?
make a fun level xwingguy, i wont care if the battle over endor is next to endor and in fact if it were me id just put the planet above the battle to stick it to them, have fun with it man

On how far I am to completion, let's say that this would be a lot easier if all the assets were compatible with space instead of making the game crash. (Curse Polis Massa and the Death Star Interior!!!) Easier if the Documentation on scripting actually explained ALL the methods, easier if they gave a better explanation on how sound, rumble, and damage regions can be worked and manipulated, easier if the munger actually told me if something was really wrong, and easier if more of my questions on the forums weren't left unanswered.

from what ive seen it looks like hes doing this in a very professional manner
you might have the random corner that lets you walk into space or something like that but thats wat betas are for

i highly doubt xwingguy will release a buggy map that doesnt load

An update would be most apreciated. Like how many cruisers/what types of cruiser/friagates are in the map, and how many are pretty much finished. Maybe some sceens sceens of the whole map.
Also, If this wouldnt be any trouble, I had a suggestion. Since moving, spawnable cap ships arnt something do-able right now how bout moving cap ships with out any interiors or hangers that move, that would really make the map look real and awsome!
PS. I hopes you can figure out the Death Star/ Polis Massa texures

blockade runners, crude nebulon B frigate for now, victory II class cruiser, weird imperial frigate that was cut out from the game. I plan to use the SSD whenever OMM-9 finishes texturing it. I can't show you the entire because it isn't all there yet. I need to get the basics 100% working first. But here's some lighting effects I played around with:
(Yes, I know the sky hasn't been fixed yet, I having problems with that. The cool thing though is that I can account for both the sun and the reflection off the planet in terms of lighting.)

Please don't double post and he isn't looking at his topic all the time, darthpingu.

Anyway, xwing' I like the lighting a whole lot. It adds a great feel to the battle as a whole. The no lighting is kind of blad, so I liek what you did with that. The cockpit views still look awesome. Great job. I noticed that the covertte and the frigate are afacing the same way in the last picture, just as a small adjustment, maybe you should rotate one of them just a tad. Nothing major at all, just might be a nice little modification. Looks great.

imo. i think the nebulon b frigate should be a tad bigger and whiter. is that possible? everything else looks great, besides still needing the planet below the ship, but i know you are working on that! great space map! cant wait til its out!

By the way, the interiors are a dream. I've seen a screenshot of them, and they look better than when I tried to do it (which took me a good three days to get a few corridors and a barracks in, and that didn't line up exactly and looked like crap). This actually looks professional - like the interiors were there to begin with. And they should have been

The only thing we need to worry about is how long we have to wait - and I'm sure it will be an eternity :p

Off-Topic: kudos_eb, is therea resonfor posting in huge letters for your whole post.
Anyway, i dont think he is thinking about another space map yet because this project will take a while; it started in late Febuary according to the LA forums.
