Vehicles - passenger using a unit's gun and not the vehicles

The best way to explain it is Halo style. If you ride in the passenger seat of the Warthog you can still use your gun. Why would this be important, you ask? Simple. Then you can ride a Tauntaun or Kaadu and still use a blaster.
I guess what I'm asking is has anyone tried this?

This is something I thought was needed too. You should still be able to shoot from any open air vehicle (or mount).
The only thing I can think of IF you can get it to work at all is that if it's only from a passenger slot, you would still not be able to drive and shoot at the same time.
In Majin's newset version of Naboo: Ouch Time, he has made the kadu so they can launch Anti-Armor boomas. It's efectively the same as if you actually throw it yourself. It's probably set up kinda like the blaster on the speeder bikes.

Tell him MANY thanks from me
This makes lots of possibilities for modding SWBF2
Teancum I hope that answer was good enough - but you'll still make it look like that gun is a hand-held and not some sort of cannon from a gigantic vehicle

(lol - sounds like something taken from that Party Map - what happened to it anyways?)
