In an effort to become a 'mecca of all Battlefront knowledge', Gametoast staff (well, Guru) provided us with a Wiki where anyone, Gametoast member or not, can provide specs, tutorials, etc. Please visit the Wiki and contribute (please, Battlefront 1/2 and Empire At War related stuff only, no "About Gametoast" or other stuff).

What we could use help with:
--We need a Wiki version of the documentation that came with the mod tools. If folks would be willing to do that it would make things easier for everyone
--A FAQ section in Battlefront 1, Battlefront 2, Battlefront Series (common stuff) and EaW sections
--Some members with Wiki editing knowledge and good sense of organization to keep the Wiki updated, clean and organized.
--Any Tutorials, specs, etc. If you have knowledge on any type of file, like .combo files, post it!
--Someone to start the, Submission Wish List, Star Wars Battlefront Common and Empire At War pages

PLEASE:
--Be organized as best you can. The Wiki is still new so there's not much to organize, but for example: If your tutorial is how to raise and lower terrain, blend, etc it should probably go in the Star Wars Battlefront (common) section.
--Go ahead and 'revise' other articles as you see fit, so long as the information you have is correct to the best of your knowledge. The more information the better.

PRETTY PLEASE:
--Spread info about this EVERYWHERE! lucasforums.com, swbffiles.com, etc. Let anyone and everyone who edits SWBF1, SWBF2 or Empire At War know this Wiki is here for them. We want them to use the knowledge there, as well as submit any articles needed!

I'm a little confused how this is supposed to be different from Wikipedia Gametoast. I thought one was enough but I guess two is even better. I think the concepts between both are a little different but we'll see how they turn out.

Now I have one thing in mind that could trigger LucasArts to "attack" us. Would it be wise to mention disputes and bad relationships between Pandemic and LucasArts since LA are unwilling to create games with a good timeline??

wikipedia gametoast is about the family and offerings of gametoast, a place that honors the launch and success of the modding swbf community , it lists our undertakings and the sites that link to us and about everthing as a whole.

Our new wiki is strictly a modding resource. An ongoing easily searched wiki for those who want to mod swbf/swbf/eaw and not have to grind the forum search for 10 hours to get details.

i just wrote a making your first map tutorial. it probably has loads of grammar errors, but i'm tired right now. also the text size is real small, and i have no idea how to change it, having not previously used wiki before, so anyone who does, please feel free to enlarge it.

Please add a short comment when you edit the pages.

It's kindof misleading, as it doesn't actually deal with mapmaking. The page it is on should probably have a link to Saturn_V's site in the middle on how to make the map itself.

Squipple was saying that maing tables doesnt work in the wiki? is this true or an issue i need to fix or ? I see an area in there that says all the functions so I think its working and swlf explan. but let me know otherwise.

Found a wiki error. The page http://www.gametoast.com/wiki/index.php?page=ScriptCB claims no pages link to it even though you can get to it from http://www.gametoast.com/wiki/index.php ... g%20System

I'm not sure why this is happening. It is not very important, but it is an error.

oh sorry, the page is described as A tutorial on how to get your first Star Wars Battlefront II map working fully in-game, so i only wrote the basics. i assumed there would be seperate pages for adding objects, water, map boundaries etc. so you knew what was on every page. but i guess i was wrong but i tried.

A couple things:

--Since it's a public thing that anyone can edit, please don't put your name in the credits (it gets confusing when someone touches up your page, etc)
--Watch were you're putting stuff. A lot of stuff I put in Star Wars Battlefront Common since it applies to both games.

I changed the "Making Your First Map!" tutorial so thatr instead if it being data_modID, it is data_*** and explained what *** means. I've found that using modID for the mod ID confuses people.

I also changed it so that when you munge, you don't click "select all", and you just leave "common" checked. I'm pretty sure you don't have to click "select all" the first time you munge....

As guru posted above, I noticed that tables aren't working. I was going to add my edit flags grid so I could take it off my site but it's tough to do without tables.
Is it a trimmed down version of wiki, or maybe tables are disabled or something?

EDIT: What wiki are you guys using? I don't see any brand on it.

That's odd, my map (Hypori: Greivous Attacks) that was on the original list on the main wiki page was taken off

Dann I aplogize for removing your section but the Wikipedia Gametoast (not Gametoast Wiki) was too long and besides, I can't mention every map or else the section itself becomes long and possibly, messy.

Anyway, if you'd like, you could always edit the sedction I created...

Added a link to the wiki in the Main Menu toolbar on the left side.

Maybe I should write one article about GameToast in the Swedish Section of Wikipedia...
