And $22.99 is the lowest price I see. You don't need an ATX Full Tower, just a box that has ATX motherboard compatibility.

If you save $100 on the case, $100 on putting it together your self, and $100 on everything else, that's $300, which I'll go for any time.
In the end, it's totally up to you, I'm just trying to help out here. Just remember two things, harder searching will probably get you even better deals. I didn't look for that long. Also, personally, I wouldn't go for that high end of a computer, but it's your money and your decision.

I wouldn't waste much money on a case. Just get something functional. Cases with LEDs are cool, but they don't add to anything, and the plexiglass will start to scratch as you open/close your rig for hardware updates. Mid-tower cases are MUCH cheaper, and are what 98% of PCs use nowadays. A full tower is just over-the-top and unnecessary unless you're building a server or something.

Agreed -- it's like buying a brand new car. Sure it's cool to own it before anyone else, but it loses tons of value within the first year. Go for last years or even the year before's technology. You'll rebuild PCs more often but will still be able to play all the latest games for at least 2-4 years AND you'll save lots of dough.

Yeah, but rebuilding computers costs money too. I'd rather not have a computer where I need to rebuild it every two years.

He's going into graphic design, he's going to need power. Otherwise, Photoshop and Indesign and other related programs are going to lag like no tomorrow.

Whatever, I do that stuff for a living and don't lag out. My work PC is a vanilla dual core with a 512mb ATI card. Unless you're going to work for ILM you don't need a computer that powerful.
It's up to Dohnutt, but I've got a lot of years of experience. Heck, I don't even have a dual core at home - just a 3.4ghz P4 and I can do everything I need to graphics-wise. Anyone who tells you that you need mega-power doesn't actually have any experience.
