Arakyd LS-150 Accelerated Charged Particle Heavy Repeater Gun from Star Wars: Republic Commando.

I modified the top to be used with the Rifle animations.

im curious as to see what objects you used for such a complex model.

Well I dont have a pic of explorer, but I can tell you its 8 cubes and 3 cylinders, plus the dummyroot and the two hard points needed.

I hate the handles as they are so I'm gonna redo them :P. The current ones suck.

could you take a pic of the explorer?
im very curious,
why did you subdivide those cubes and cyllinders, it just using un neccassary poly's.

He just told you, plus IF he merged it, it will appear as mesh1, not how many objects.

And the 'subdivisions' doesn't use unnecessary polys, he made it all tri's, which the exporter will do for you if you don't do it.

its not smart to work with triangles though, if you make any long narrow tris on your models they make f'ed up lighting on the model, can mess things like shaders up. you also shouldnt use primitives either, your models will be so much cleaner if you just start with 1 primitive and build from there. go over to the CGI modeling and animation thread and look at the character model i posted, i made that outta a single quad thats on the bridge of the nose and just extruded from there.
