ZeroEditor error

i asked this question at lucas forums and was refered to gametoast,

anayway, i seem to have a slight problem with ZeroEditor, i have used the VisualMunge to create my world, then munged it, afterward i attempted to open the ZeroEditor.exe in my data_ABC folder, then the Pandemic/ZeroEditor logo comes up and then i get the classic Microsoft Slap across the face with an error mesage that reads "zeroeditor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and shuts down. i aplogize if this error has been answered elsewhere or if i missunderstood something in the readme/tuttorial but i have been searching for hours and cant find the source of the problem/soluition for this problem.

any help/insight on this problem would be verymuch appricated

also i noticed this in the FAQ allthough i tried it and it didnt help but i dont know if my error is the kind of crash its talking about:
Question: ZeroEdit keeps crashing on me. Is there a way to fix it?
Answer: The only thing that may fix it is trying different screen resolutions and changing color depth back and forth from 16 to 32-bit. It's not guaranteed, though.

thanks

Did you get BF2 in a pack or by it's self?

Do you have the 1.1 patch? I'm not sure if you need it or not, it probably has nothing to do with ze.

Easy question, Vista or XP? I crashes for me in Vista just like that. Seems like from what I've read only if you format your computer XP then upgrade then ZE will noly work most of the time then :/

Did you run the help>analyze my computer from the red, BF2 autoplay menu? It'll tell you if your computer is compatible with BF or not. But of course, BF and ZE are different, although it may help.

ZE does that to me if I'm running low on memory (ie too many things running)

How much memory do you have and how good is your video card? Color settings should be set to 32 bit if possible.

Also restart and try just loading ZE and nothing else.
